While the installers were fantastic, the staff did not supply the necessary materials for them. To begin I work from home and let them know that the window in my office should be the first to be completed. I took time off work and as they removed windows and began the install I was informed that that was the only window that was not in the inventory. We set up a 2nd appointment and again took time off work. The window was installed and it was the wrong size, the installers were honest and pointed that out to us. They contacted the staff and let them know the issue. The staff tried to convince us that it was the right one and they couldn’t make it any larger, what a joke, this was a regular bedroom sized window. Once again we had to reschedule and yet another day taken off work. Finally we got a notice from the city that our permit was going to expire and we needed an inspection of the windows. I called and no response so I called again and of course the blame was put on the installers. I am not a fan of the blame game especially when it is on the workers!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible customer service, lack of professionalism, no accountability. Lying about documentation. Lying to get business. Lack of communication. Disrespected my home. Going through third parties to gain access to my home without my knowledge. Never again. Spend so much $$ to feel violated in my own home by these people. Horrible and Traumatic experience the WHOLE way through. From Sales, Customer Service, to parts department, scheduling, contractors, and management. Only time they respond in a timely fashion is when reviews like this are written. Reached out for a resolution and no follow through!! Not even a formal apology!! That's customer service for ya!! That's how they want you to feel special, take your money and RUN!!! Shiesty Business Practices!!

We don't mind paying for quality and believe Andersen provides a quality product. Recently, we had the handle come off of the sliding window above our kitchen sink. I am currently on my third call to the RBA service department. After my first call, I left a voice message and no one called me back. At my second call, the person answering sent an email to the service department, told me she marked it urgent, and explained I would hear back within three business days. One week later I have heard nothing. Today's call I was offered another expedited email to which I would receive a response in 3 business days and I said that would not suffice and wish to speak to a person who could assist me. I was on hold, on and off, for about 30 minutes. Finally, a person who when asked told me she was the manager of the service department, answered the call, made excuses about personnel changes and made an appointment for me two days hence. My thought at this point is now that they have my money, they're focus is on new installs and not the service highly touted by the sales person.

Their pricing was high by ten times, quoted $25,000-35,000 to replace THREE windows, older Andersen’s, reasonably normal sized. They are looking for older people to sucker in, as others here have stated. The salesman was polite enough….but this company will never come on my property again. Go to a local building supply store, price out approximately what you want, and ask for contractor references. Then you get the reasonable price.

I had to have my window treatments removed before they came, despite the high prices they charge. My friends removed my blinds and when they replaced them again told me there was a sticky place on the interior trim. I tried to clean it, but it made it worse. I think it was wood glue. When I replied to their so-called survey, there was a "permanent error." For $11,554 for a sliding glass door, I should think they need to fix that permanent error.

These guys are definitely overpriced, but my real issue with them is they will lie about how much stronger their doors are than the competition. They use 20 gauge steel, which is standard at best, but they carry around thinner pieces on a key ring to make it seem thick by comparison. Gave me some nonsense about how bad the competition’s products are. I wonder how many people don’t do any research at all before buying from them. Their financing is pretty bad too. 10% interest is only a good rate if you’re comparing it to your credit card.

This is in response to my initial review of 1 star. I have been contacted by the president of Renewals by Anderson. We had a good discussion, and all indications are they will make my issue right. When that happens I will write an additional review
