Andersen doesn't provide a pricing list with all the add-ons for different features. This allows them to highball your price when adding features and low ball the customer when subtracting them. We purchased a number of windows with the elements the sales person said were needed and signed a contract. When the pre-installation inspector came, he decided that the sills, jambs and wood trim wasn't necessary because it would better to use the existing ones. When we received the adjusted contract for signing, it seemed to us that Andersen was lowballing the reduction. The sales rep could not provide a price list to justify such a small reduction. We would have been better off asking for the sales person to show the specific cost for everything listed on the contract. This process leaves us with a lot less confidence in Andersen as a honest and dependable company.

I haven't even gotten the door installed yet and I am dissatisfied. High pressure savy salesmen, way to expensive but I went along with it.My advice ???Don't do it.Get a good local carpenter for thousands less.

This is for those of you who haven't decided yet on installing new windows in your home. While Andersen IS "thee" elitist of them all and priciest? By NO means are they substantially better than many other window vendors, at least? In the Las Vegas area. The quality is there and the workmanship. But I've used another windowmaker whose been around Vegas for "eons" who did my home beautiful, strong and well fabricated windows for one third less the price. I also can't say much for the warranty of Andersen, as it was like "pulling teeth" to get them out and consequently? I wound up calling another vendor to assist with a minor but NECESSARY problem. Choose wisely and please, don't be fooled the their OVERadvertising.

The windows are very, very heavy.It's good for weather.However, very hard to open and nothing to hold on to too open them without getting fingerprints all over them. The screens are okay, but the metal latches to lock them in are cheap and can break very easily. Felt like I paid too much for what I got.

Took forever from meeting with sales guy to job completion. The guy that comes out to take the final measurements is not included in the cost of "the job". No, that guy is an additional $350.00 tacked onto the bill. I think that for the outrageous price that the measurements should be part of the deal. But measurements are not. Two days before scheduled install my boyfriend called and asked if we need to take down the existing blinds. He was told that the installers would take them down. What he was not told was that there would be a $100.00 per window charge to have the installers take the blinds down. All the installers had to do was flip two little flaps per window up, remove blinds, reinstall blinds into original, existing brackets, close flaps on brackets. $100.00 each time they made those 4 moves. They did not remove the brackets, so that tells me that the blinds were removed for their conveinance, not mine. Then to top it all off, they charged $100.00 to remove and reinstall the blinds on a window that has not had blinds or the brackets installed for over a year. I know because I am the one who took the blinds down along with the brackets. We still don't have blinds installed for that window. But we got charged $100.00 anyway. We didn't get an itemized bill until my boyfriend asked for one. He paid the bill off completely within the month after the install was complete but didn't get itemization until after bill was paid.

Buyer beware. Would not recommend. no character to the windows they look very industrial flat, thick and plain. The TV commercial is very miss leading. the crew rushed through the installation. I have not seen such poor workman ship in 30 years of being in or around the construction field. To start they removed the wrong window and had to put it back after I told them that they removed the wrong window. The crew had to redo the metal trim because it was not what was agreed a pond at time of purchase. told the crew it was not correct before it was install but was told that is how they do the trim and have never done it with the brick mold effect. I had to contact the manager to have it corrected. the workmen ship is not good at all, the trim does not go under the siding, they hide their mistakes or lack of knowledge with a lot of caulks, what a mess. might last 2 years, (time the installation is guaranteed) The special ordered door they installed did not come with the brick mold outside trim, o the put-up metal trim, nothing but foam behind it, good place for bees and bugs to nest, couldn't match the width of the existing trim because they would have had to cut the siding. Gap top of door uneven, Board sticking out from under the door. long enough I could go on and on. Note, after this review I was contacted and Gary sent a different crew to correct all the issues and corrected the poor workmanship from the 1st crew. should not had to go thru this in the first place.

People, Get a clue! Of coarse these windows are expensive. Andersen advertises CONSTANTLY on t,v,. That is why their windows are unbelievably expensive. It costs a ton of money to advertise. I too receive email after email from all kinds of crazy addresses trying to sell me on this terrible company and their windows. I block every one of them but, no use

#1 - Product and installation team was five star - efficient, neat, polite and timely #2 - Sales Paul McLean terrible - very nice when selling and rude and useless on follow up questions #3 - Anderson forgot the screen on initial installation. Not great but it happens. They came back and installed. I paid the invoice and literally 11 emails and texts over need to pay. They screw up and then haunt me over a payment that was made?
