Purchased 5'x3' picture window. 2 years in, it begins to cloud up. Finally get around to get to the warranty replacement.
It's great that Anderson warranties the window but I go on to find out that the labor to replace it exceeds the window value by 25%.
I did not ask Anderson to sell me a terrible product that failed 2 years into its life cycle. Now I have to pay $1250 for my "free" replacement.
Purchase Pella you'll be happy you did.

Very disappointed
Very disappointed. Scheduled a consultation and that morning they cancelled. Rescheduled for the next week and 2 hours before they were to show up they cancelled again.
Shoddy business practice. No regard for their customers. Never again!

STAY AWAY FROM RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN
STAY AWAY FROM RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN! They have literally hundreds of negative reviews.
To make it easy I am just going to quote another person who felt exactly the same way "From the moment the representative arrived, their attitude was atrocious. They were rude and dismissive, making me feel like I was inconveniencing them by wanting a quote. I was treated like a child being scolded by a teacher." When I confronted salesperson and told him that I really didn't like his attitude towards me when I was asking questions in comparison to other companies. One of the questions was why Renewal by Andersen offering only 10-year warranty when other companies selling exactly the same Andersen sliding door offering Lifetime Warranty or at least 20-year warranty. After every single question I would get that arrogant smile from the arrogant salesperson and belittle talk about how other companies are not good, and their warranty means nothing, and what warranty worth if other company goes out of business and all other hypotheticals that made me feel very uncomfortable asking any questions.
Second reason I would stay away from Renewal by Andresen their prices for the exactly the same Andresen patio door we already got many quotes for was literally more than three times more expensive for exactly the same or even better options, for example $3,700 with installation and lifetime warranty on everything vs. $15,000+ original price that with discount got down to close to $12,000 to make us feel better about discount. We saw some very high-end patio sliding doors with some crazy option like sliding on the top and not bottom tracks with locking mechanism that would lift the door to make door slide seamlessly easy that was quoted to us for $9,300+. Me and my wife just looked at the salesperson and thought if he was serious. Well, he was.
One more reason I would stay away from Renewal by Andersen is they don't have many color options (two brown color options vs. literally 10 different brown color options from other companies), only one locking systems vs. at least four we've got from other companies. You like miniblinds, forget about it, salesperson going to give you speech how much blinds compromise the sliding door. We really didn't like how very few options Renewal by Andersen had in comparison to other companies. Literally day and night.
Salesperson also try to tell me that I would receive survey and anything below 9 stars would be considered a failure. That's when I told him straight that every single time I asked you a question you gave me that arrogant smile and belittle me like I know absolutely nothing what I am talking about and other companies are just garbage and won't stay much in business, so lifetime warranty means nothing. I told him some companies were in business for over 35 years and longer, again I've got that arrogant smile back.
In other words, probably one of the worst experiences we had out of all other companies. Good luck staying in business! I am sure in the next few years you'll be out of business.

I was thinking of using this company…
I was thinking of using this company and I am glad I read the reviews first, the reviews sound a lot like my horrible expensive experience with another rip off operation, " home a glow" 19.00 cleaning wound up costing 350.00 to get out of a cheat and rip non-disclosed contract. While you are avoiding scams, make sure to add these quacks along with home aglow. Likely owned by same scammers.

We are very happy with our windows
We had 24 windows installed in our house and had a great experience from beginning to end. Ramon and his crew installed the windows and did a wonderful job. They were professional, polite and kind throughout the 2 day installation. The windows are high quality, and we already notice our air conditioning doesn't turn on as often as before. Yes, they are expensive but are worth every penny. I look forward to having these windows for decades to come.

First reRIP OFFd flag was when calling for…
First red flag was when calling for appointment they could see me same day . Second red flag was sales person showing up an hour early and in a new BMW . Guess there wasn't much to do . The sales person was OK but the sales tactics and prices were terrible . The price was $5000.00 PER WINDOW ! The same andersen widow goes for $800.00 . To get the so called discount you had to sign rite then , no chance to compare .

Warranty coverage is awful.
I had over 26k worth of windows installed by Renewal by Andersen. I will give the windows a 5 star, I will give the warranty and follow up response zero stars. I just watched a commercial about the warranty and Renewal response to issues with the windows. The statement is not true.
I had mold develop on the windows and when I contacted Renewal their response was "that is not our concern". We did get a tech to come out and he told us that we had a better chance of falling off the steps then getting the warranty on my windows handled.
I needed 6 more windows changed on my house and did not even think of contacting Renewal. I went with a different company and their response to all on my questions were top notice.
I do not trust nor promote Renewal.

CANNOT LOCK DEFECTIVE EXTERIOR DOORS
In November of 2022, we signed a contract with Renewal by Andersen to install 7 windows and 2 exterior french doors on our home. We entered into a financial agreement with their credit company, Greensky, for the total cost of the project, $49,856.00.
On April 24 & 25, 2023, Renewal by Andersen came and installed the windows and doors. At the time of installation, the installer mentioned that both of the french doors had defects and that they would need to come back and fix them.
Door #1- Deck Door: The strip that covers the inside edge was installed upside down at the factory, causing the door handle not to fit properly. They tried to fix it manually, but it was not secure so they left it and said they would return. At this time, the deck door could not be dead bolted properly.
Door #2- Sunlight Basement Door: The weather stripping around this door was broken, scraped, bent, etc. so that it would not allow a proper seal on the right hand door (walking door). Installer said they would order the correct parts and come back.
It was at this time in April 2023 that we began paying Greensky because the installation was "complete".
Renewal by Andersen continued to come out an additional 8 times in the next 9 months trying to correct the doors. Each time, they left with a different piece broken on each door.
6 months after the door installation, we were told that they would replace the door handles on the next trip and that we were good to stain our doors. We paid someone to come in and stain/poly our windows and doors. 2 months later, Renewal by Andersen said that the half of the basement door needed to replaced. This was done on February 7th of this year. They replaced the door, but the new door now drags and scrapes while opening/closing and it is in worse shape than before. When we mentioned this to the employee he said it could not be fixed without another part, and that they would order it and be back again. During this same visit, they worked on the deck doors and left with that door still unable to be properly locked and secure.
It has now been 1 year since installation, and we have taken time off work 9 times to allow Renewal by Andersen to come into our home and "fix" these doors. After the last time, when the doors were left in worse shape than when they started, we contacted the local sales office and logged a complaint with management. Our complaints were relatively ignored outside of we are ordering the parts and will come and fix it. We asked for corporate to be notified and asked for a resolution and was told that there was nothing they would do for us.
At this time, since we needed to finance, we are unable to buy new quality doors from another company. We are a family with a 10 year old child that cannot lock exterior doors to our home for over 12 months, after paying thousands of dollars for a professional installation.
The desired resolution is a complete refund of the cost of both broken doors and installation of those doors so that we can properly secure our home with another company.
