Their lifetime warranty means nothing as they are unreachable
This is the second time I've had doors installed by Renewal by Andersen. My first experience two years ago was smooth and pleasant. Unfortunately, this most recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I chose to pay for the project upfront rather than finance it—something I now regret. I’ve learned the hard way: do not pay in full until the final inspection is completed. The crew that installed the sliding doors and window did a good job, but things went downhill from there. A representative briefly stopped by, looked over the work, and insisted that I pay the full balance immediately, even though the official county inspection was still pending and the window frame could not be completed until after that inspection. She promised the inspection would be scheduled within 10 days, but after that visit, she became completely unresponsive to both calls and texts. I was then directed to contact someone else in the office, who also failed to return my calls or respond to voice messages. Eventually, I received paperwork from the county, and someone from the office left me a voicemail to schedule the inspection. I returned the call immediately but never heard back. It has now been over two weeks with no response. The customer service has been appalling. It feels like once they’ve been paid, they no longer care about the customer. What good is a lifetime warranty if you can’t reach anyone for support? Based on this experience, I would not recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone.
