I chose Quontic due to the higher rate of CD's than most banks at the present time. Bankrate (which I trust) rated Quontic as one of the highest rates for CD's. I plan to move my money from the present CD to Quontic when the CD matures in January. The present rate is 1.2 for 5 years. (Won't make one rich, but is FDIC and a better rate than most.)
