The system seems to be working well now but the installation process was extremely painful. The installer did not know what he was doing - took him 2 full days - over 12 hours to finish the installation and a sr. tech had to come out for a few hours to assist. He was not able to answer any of my questions and did not appear to know the system and product very well at all. It was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

The guy who came to my door was a very VERY nice man, however we felt extremely bullied into signing. We told him several times it's just not the right time for us to sign up since our budget is extremely tight. He did however give us. "Good deal" "compared" to others. It was late at night, my baby was screaming crying ready to go to sleep and after a few hours of telling him no we just honestly wanted the man to leave so we could put our child to bed. I wish I had a back bone and told him politely to leave which I thought I had done by telling him we would call him in a few months but I don't think he was going to take no for an answer at all. The service was great. Being bullied into a contract we did not want NOR could afford was not fun. I called to ask protection 1 to send me a contract through the mail and they DID NOT since a lot of the reviews said they once again bullied you into another contract once your contract is up by not giving a contract in writing, now I fully believe that person. I will be getting in contact again soon to make sure I won't ever give protection 1 a dime of our money. We now have an extremely low budget for groceries and we have kids. We didn't HAVE to sign and we could have been rude but we were tired our babies were screaming and this guy wasn't taking no for an answer, it was a hard one. I've never experienced a salesman to just linger after having told several times no thank you.

Our son-in-law has a Protection 1 system and is very pleased with it. We remodeled our home and decided to add a security system and decided to go with Protection 1. The day of installation, the technician arrived about 1:30 PM. We had been told he would arrive between 8:00 AM and noon. Once he arrived, I spent a lot of time on the phone with Protection 1 personnel trying to get the system that we thought we were going to have installed. We finally got through that experience and agreed on what we get and what it would cost. We then received our first bill. It almost $100.00 more than what we had agreed upon. I then spent almost an hour on the phone with the billing department getting this corrected. We are now waiting on our first monthly statement to make sure it is correct.

From the team that made our appointment to the man who installed our system and taught us to use it, Protection 1 was incredible. Far better than the previous company we had for security or anyone else we've had to help us prep our new home. Highly recommended!

When I first spoke to a representative I was told I would get up to 7 sencors free I only got 3. I ask to get more and I was told I would have to pay for them. I was told the install fee wouldn't come out till after the install the fee came out 2 days before the install. The day of install the first tech I had told my wife he chould NOT install it with out me being home. When I spoke to someone they told me it's not true he should have installed my system even without me there.. the 2nd tech was super nice very helpI full. Tech was going to help get the rest of the sencors for my house but protection one isn't going to do it now.. I was told the sencors were $30 when I first talked to them and 1 day later they are $45. Might I add this was all in less then a week this all happend

It may be one of "those" situations, but my experience thus far has been very disappointing. I chose P1 because of the fact that the equipment was already in place in a home that we recently moved into. So far, it's been issue after issue and still waiting to get hopefully the final issue resolved. Good thing I only signed up for a year.........

Good Alarm System. Never received my $50 credit for me and the person referring me to Protection 1.

We were very pleased with the guys that came to install our system. They were very nice and worked very hard during the time they were here. They made sure we knew how to operate the new system before they left. In addition, we really like the way the new system works. We like being able to access it on the internet as well as receiving an email whenever the system is armed and disarmed. While we were away, we had a pet sitter coming in everyday. One day, I noticed that a lot of time had elapsed after she had disarmed the system and it had not been reset. I sent her a text message. She thought she had reset it when she left, but once she came back to check, found that she had not. It would have been disarmed all night without this email feature.
