My psychiatrist made me feel i was in good hands - safe - and heard. I felt it was worth the money and the time. Now I hope that my therapist does the same, although he seems young and not as established or experienced in what I might need - wee will see.

(Prosper; making ASD eval accessable, and more affordable than many alternatives, if you can even find a suitable alternative in your area) First off, there is nothing 'easy' about this, even coming to the realization of 'I might be autistic' is a very difficult process. And with executive functioning issues everything is challenging to me. However, they really were helpful every step of the way, removing much of the mental and emotional burden. Intake coordinator, Michelle, was super helpful, every step of the way. I am dealing with extreme executive functioning issues, so breaking the steps down and being responsive to all questions and need for clarification was super helpful. Dr. V really helped with navigating my childhood experiences and current adult experiences. Truly listened and gave me plenty opportunity to discuss all the areas we needed to. I kept saying things incorrectly or misrepresenting the truth of my experience, and she gave me opportunity to express the truth in retrospect on the next session/assessment meeting (due to delayed processing I always end up with the 'real answers'/'true response' hours to days later). This was super helpful since it really hurts to hold onto "why didn't I just say xyz" or feeling like I misrepresented myself, 'again'. Super respectful, thorough, and compassionate. To control the flow of the process (due to my extreme bottom up processing, thus many details), she provided rules that were easy to understand and follow and rather than just forcing them, discussed them and the reasoning, so I could understand and agree. This helped much with preventing demand avoidant emotional responses, and made the rules more 'game like' to me than feeling like I am just being limited, or dismissed (like many other people, especially Dr.s typically do). I am not explaining this exactly the way I want to, but as I said, words always fall short....but overall super super pleased with how much support they have provided along the way as well as all of the resources available after as well. I just wish daily life came with this level of support, compassion, and understanding.

Prosper Health made it easy and affordable to schedule an autism assessment. The cost was provided up front. I was able to see a psychologist within a week of scheduling. The process for the assessment was communicated clearly up front as well as during my assessment. I felt like the clinician I worked with was knowledgeable and understanding and made sure I was comfortable throughout the assessment. My experience with Prosper Health was positive from start to finish and I highly recommend their services.
