Zero Accountability and Unprofessional Service – Left Stranded Before a Trip
If you expect basic reliability or communication from a direct-to-consumer bike brand, look elsewhere. Three weeks ago, Propain confirmed a test bike was available for purchase. I repeatedly asked to close the deal, pay, and finalize the order. Instead of completing the sale, their support went dark for days at a time and never sent an invoice. After three weeks of dragging their feet, they abruptly canceled the purchase citing "internal inconveniences"—leaving me scrambling at the last minute to find a bike before a long-planned bikepacking trip. To make the sheer incompetence worse: The same day they canceled, their system sent me an automated payment reminder (Zahlungserinnerung) for an invoice they never even issued. When I emailed them to call out this terrible treatment, they didn't even bother to reply. Complete radio silence. Propain's total lack of organization, awful communication, and refusal to take responsibility nearly ruined my vacation. Unacceptable service.
