I currently own 2 S5's and one S7. I have one S5 I bought but have in the box for when I need it. :) I had a litter Robot years ago but arthritis came along and I could not even think about the work involved in cleaning the inside of an enclosed large bowl. The Popur is SO much easier. And the S7 is truly a breeze to take apart. They obviously put lots of thought into the improvements to their product, and I appreciate it so much. I use on S5 in the garage with my two very elderly cats by themselves because they cannot jump or climb, and one is almost totally blind. That machine stays on manual. I just go in each morning and push the button to let it clean. I still don't have to empty it but once in a while, and the cleaning is nothing more than a light wipe-down. The other S5 is in my sunroom and available to my 5 inside cats. That's just the one they love when out there and don't want to go inside to the backroom. The S7 is in the backroom near my bedroom. I never would even know it's there if I didn't put it there LOL. No smell and no sound at night. My house appears cat free....well except for the fur. I never used the app on the S5 so I cannot attest to it but the app on the S7 is great! I can tell it to cover right after a cat leaves so it has time with sand over the business to become solid. I can also tell it to ignore cats just looking in to see if it's available yet. It tells me when the bin is full. And it will tell me when there's a new update! Just very handy. Thank you Popur for making my golden years VERY golden! My cats thank you too. (I save enough on litter to buy the food they'd rather have.) ;) <3

Ive had my Popur X5 for the last 3 years and just recently ran into a small issue with it. Contacted customer service and even though I was out of warranty they went above and beyond to solve my issue. Definitely recommend the company

We have 4 cats, one of them is a 20 lb Maine Coon, so we needed an open top design, so he would fit. I bought 2 of these auto scoop litter boxes, and also ordered the plastic waste bin, to replace the cardboard one. Our cats were a little wary of them at first, but they quickly adjusted. We change the waste bin every other day, and there is no smell in the room where these two boxes are. We love this, and our 4 kitties do too!

I am modifying my review to 4 stars because the company promptly sent me a non-defective unit and new generation liner - both of which are working great. Thank you! __original 1* review follows__ I think this is a good concept - ie no lid auto cleaner- but isn’t executing in my home. The system has very specific assembly instructions which work well and look fast for a clean box on YouTube. However mine has been malfunctioning and dumping litter into the base of the unit. when this happens the cleanup is 2+ hours…litter everywhere, and the assembly needs to take into account removing litter from the folding accordion peice and recreating the latch hole etc. it’s a nightmare and I’ve had to do this 3x. I’m not sure the life expectancy now that the electronics and the gears have had litter dust in there. The other peice I hate is pee. I have 15lbs cats who have big pees, normally in the corner. The pee seeps into the liner and the pee clumps are never removed with a cleaning cycle, I have to scrap with a litter scooper. At least in their stainless steel box they don’t “stick” to the bottom like they do here. Finally, a lot of issues with detecting the giant beats. Seems to detect them and trigger a cleaning about 1/2 to 1/4 of the time. So ya, maybe smaller cats, and cats that use the middle, and if you don’t get a defective unit it’ll be fine, but I’ve cleaned and assembled mine for the last time and if it dumps litter in the base it’ll be hitting the garbage bin soon.

I love these. I have had no trouble with any cat, including feral rescues, using and adapting to these with ease. They never “trap” my cats, so that is not a concern. Have had them for years with multiple animals and these are amazing about catching motion so they don’t move while cats are near. My only issue is they are a bit loud when in motion, and I wish the sides were a bit higher for cats that are not “butt coordinated,”but otherwise pretty great. The one issue I did have is one of the flaps for over the collection box broke due to my cats landing on it during zoomies. Customer services was quick to help me figure out what I needed to replace and had it quickly. Nearly five years and do not have a single regret at purchasing them. Have three and even my large cats fit inside.

I had a 2.5 year old X5 that malfunctioned. Popur was outstanding to work with in getting me a new sifter circuit board (which wasn't available for sale). Customer service was excellent and knowledgeable! Full 10/10 experience!!

I have been using the Popur litter box for 3 years straight, and it genuinely feels like the "Dyson" of cat litter boxes. The mechanics are just as smooth today as they were on day one! It has saved me so much time and gives me total peace of mind when I travel, knowing the tech just works. The open-top approach is so much better than the bulky Litter-Robot spaceship—it takes up less space and is far easier for my cats to use.
