I love my popur, has been great sense I had trouble with the old boxes cause I'm disabled and it helps alot. Been 2 years and my part Maine coon road the thing up then jumped but missed hit the open door and broke the lid opener, now i gotta unplug it everytime to open the door till next month lol but love this thing..

I like my Popur S7 litter box. I had some issues initially but after changing my cat litter to a finer grained litter it’s working well. Support were helpful to me when I contacted them.

I am modifying my review to 4 stars because the company promptly sent me a non-defective unit and new generation liner - both of which are working great. Thank you! __original 1* review follows__ I think this is a good concept - ie no lid auto cleaner- but isn’t executing in my home. The system has very specific assembly instructions which work well and look fast for a clean box on YouTube. However mine has been malfunctioning and dumping litter into the base of the unit. when this happens the cleanup is 2+ hours…litter everywhere, and the assembly needs to take into account removing litter from the folding accordion peice and recreating the latch hole etc. it’s a nightmare and I’ve had to do this 3x. I’m not sure the life expectancy now that the electronics and the gears have had litter dust in there. The other peice I hate is pee. I have 15lbs cats who have big pees, normally in the corner. The pee seeps into the liner and the pee clumps are never removed with a cleaning cycle, I have to scrap with a litter scooper. At least in their stainless steel box they don’t “stick” to the bottom like they do here. Finally, a lot of issues with detecting the giant beats. Seems to detect them and trigger a cleaning about 1/2 to 1/4 of the time. So ya, maybe smaller cats, and cats that use the middle, and if you don’t get a defective unit it’ll be fine, but I’ve cleaned and assembled mine for the last time and if it dumps litter in the base it’ll be hitting the garbage bin soon.

I love these. I have had no trouble with any cat, including feral rescues, using and adapting to these with ease. They never “trap” my cats, so that is not a concern. Have had them for years with multiple animals and these are amazing about catching motion so they don’t move while cats are near. My only issue is they are a bit loud when in motion, and I wish the sides were a bit higher for cats that are not “butt coordinated,”but otherwise pretty great. The one issue I did have is one of the flaps for over the collection box broke due to my cats landing on it during zoomies. Customer services was quick to help me figure out what I needed to replace and had it quickly. Nearly five years and do not have a single regret at purchasing them. Have three and even my large cats fit inside.

We have an X5 and several PetSnowy devices (which we got 2 years before the Popur). All 3 cats prefer the Popur without question. Looking at replacing the PetSnowy devices with the X7.

This would be five stars if it were a little less pricy and a little easier to clean mushy poops off the grate. Otherwise, this thing is great! We have seven cats and were hesitant to buy one because we've tried unsuccessfully with litter robots in the past. The litter boxes were just becoming overwhelming so we bit the bullet and got one from kickstarter. Game changer. We liked it so much we got a second one for the other floor. It's been a few months and not all of the cats have acclimated yet, but we are being very slow about removing litter boxes. We have noticed the bins getting fuller so we are looking forward to the day when we just have to swap out the bag and never scoop again!

I initially bought an X5 over a year ago for my mother-in-laws room. After 8 months I noticed something about it, it cycled so fast and so quiet that I never knew it was running. I have two Litter Genies (the ones that wash the litter than flush it down the toilet) which I also like, however the extremely long cycle with multiple cats has resulted in a few “accidents” as they were not available to the other cats during their cleaning cycle, plus they are extremely noisy when cycling and must be in the bathroom. So when I noticed how quiet the x5 was, how quickly it cycles and the upshot that it only needed a plug in, we bought a second one. Because it is SO quiet, we can have it near the back door and we don’t even notice its cycle so it doesn’t disturb our daily routines. The cats have adapted to it quite well and even though we still have the Litter Genies, which occasionally get used still, our cats have adapted to the X5, using it more. However OF the four cats we have only ONE refuses to use any automatic cleaning boxes, but he has his own box in my son’s room that is his. The only reason I don’t give the X5 a 5 stars review is that the initial version came with a cardboard bin (which quickly crumbled) so we bought the plastic bin (MAJOR upgrade), there is no sensor to tell if the bin is full so by the time anyone notices it’s full it’s over flowing it’s a mess. (Luckly it very easy to clean the plastic bin and the top separates from the motor unit for easy cleaning) The app keep signing me out so it makes it difficult to monitor usage all the time. This makes the one in my mother in laws room more subject over overflow. Things I love most about the X5 is the open top design. The ease and speed at which the cycle starts, runs and performs. I really feel that should our cats somehow end up in the mechanism that they would be able to easily get out of the way. Our one cat is so unafraid of the device that he’s been witness taking a ride up and down on it 🙄 while we have been gone. (We have a camera which can see the one box so we can tell if the one cat ever decides to change its mind about using it) and the quantity of litter it can hold. Final note- though regular clumping litter works fantastic you can hear the motor struggle a little during its cycle, so we use “lightweight litter” and this helps if you accidentally add too much litter as the X5 struggles so much less and seems to cycle faster. Would love to try the new s7 series, but considering I have 2 X5 boxes and the litter genies I can’t justify the upgrade, nor the cost.
