I purchased the Popur S7 a little under a month ago for my 4.7kg 3.5yr old female Ragdoll cat. It's been a game changer for me. I have health issues and I’ve been looking for things to make life easier for me in the house. Changing the constant cat litter was one of them. We all know it's a chore and if you forget a day you pay the price for a stinking litter tray. I'd been recommended the Popur litter tray by my cat's breeder. Our breeder has a Facebook group for all her cat owners, and after I asked if anyone could recommend a litter system big enough for a Ragdoll cat, two other owners also recommended the Popur. I had found it overwhelming trying to pick a system online so I would rather go by a recommend system. The S7 was on offer so i took the plunge. It arrived pretty quickly and was really easy to build up, the instructions could not be easier and there are lots of Youtube videos if you get stuck. I left my old litter beside the Popur so my cat could get used to it, she is fascinated when it starts to work. My cat is a foodie, so i would feed her treats and activate the machine so she could get used to the noise and movement. Once she was fine with that, I lifted her into the litter tray and again fed her treats. Pretty much straight away she left me a gift and we've not looked back. I had a few questions about my machine and Sabrina from Customer Care could not have been nicer. All of my questions were answered really quickly and she sent lots of links so that i could look anything up in the future. I've paid for the extended warranty on my machine so it's great knowing they have a great Customer Care team. This litterbox has made such a difference , there is zero smell from it. I use a fine clay-based litter and it works fantastic. You can set the machine to suit your cats needs. I have a dog who loves cat cookies so the added bonus of setting the sifter to cover any gifts left by my cat is fantastic as it’s one less thing to worry about. I just wish i had known about this and bought it sooner as it has made my life so much easier.

Warning: Popur S7 has a known design flaw, and their support will refuse to help you if you didn't buy directly from them. They also mock you for asking for support." I bought a brand new, sealed Popur S7 for €350 from a third party. Within a month, the litter pad had severe urine adhesion issues. Popur support acknowledged the defect and admitted they developed a new "Duralastic" and "Flexiguard" liner specifically to fix it. However, they refused to replace it because I didn't buy it from their official store. When I told them I would share my experience publicly, their exact response was: "You've the freedom to share anywhere, no need to inform us, which sounds like intimidating. Brevity is highly appreciated in essence of efficient support." So here I am, being brief. Avoid this company. They acknowledge their €350 product is defective but refuse to stand behind it. If you buy from a third party (even new), you are on your own. Buyers beware.

Though this unit looks large, it is more like a rectangle and doesn’t leave your cat a lot of room to turn around. Other than that, it works well, but for a large cat, it was no good. Also, beware purchasing through them, as even if you clean and sanitize it, they will likely keep your money upon return. I would recommend whatever you buy always purchase through a solid company like Chewy to make returns easy and headache free.

I backed Popur via the Kickstarter campaign in 2025 and the S7 unit was delivered at the end of 2025. Once we got it all assembled and prepared…our (then) 2 cats took to it immediately which I was pleased about. Because the big cats used it, our new kitten took to it straight away as soon as she moved out of her kitten space. In fact, she preferred it to the normal tray that she had upstairs. We use it with a good clumping litter and it performs exactly as it is supposed to. No fuss, no smell. And easy to manage and to keep clean. Happy cats = happy owners. I’d strongly recommend this.

I was very nervous getting this box. First, my girl had rejected a Litter Robot because it was enclosed. And I'm disabled facing spine surgery where I cannot bend or lift for 12 weeks. And Purrincess Ellie wants the box clean after every deposit. She came from an awful hoarding situation. So I set up the Popur in the same room as her huge open messy box. For two weeks she avoided it. I put some of her old litter in with new litter. Left it unplugged. I finally just removed her old one and went with the S7. She made cat complaints all afternoon but then used it twice during the night. I turned it on the next morning. It was so quiet! And she thinks it's fun to watch. She started setting it off with the proximity sensor. Fortunately, there are multiple setting and I was able to set it up so she can't dovthat anymore. She does watch it after she uses it. The receptacle for waste and the litter area is quite large. I actually forgot about it and it ran almost out of litter, necessitating me cleaning the liner, which was easy to access. And I noticed that the sides are higher than her old box, which means far less litter on the floor. Now I check it a couple times a week. This will make it so much easier for me! One thing I didn't know about was the two different apps, one for each model. It's not listed in the instructions. After a couple of hours of frustration, I wrote to customer service and got a quick response. Once I got the right app for the S7, setup was easy. And there isn't odor from the waste receptacle unless you open it for a prolonged time. I have started putting either baking soda or activated charcoal (which works better) in the box to neutralize some of the waste odor. It's not normally an issue except when replacing the waste bag.

I have had the s7 for almost a year and its great! There are 4 cats in my house ranging from 6lbs to 13lbs and the only issue is that my tiny one is 16 and struggles to get up into it sometimes, and the largest cat accidentally flicks some litter over one end cap. I asked popur and they sent me 3d print files for the accessories that are currently out of stock so I dont have to wait! I switched from my corn based arm and hammer litter to the slide platinum litter as my corn litter was sticking (corner digging pee-er). I use the footbath liners off amazon for spa chairs to replace the bags and they are so quick and easy. This is way better than the impossible to clean litter robot I had before.

I have had mine for 3 years, and my cats have no problem using it. It's well worth the money I spent on it. I got the S5.

I’ve been looking at automatic litter boxes for years. The litter robot seemed like the one everyone was getting but it looked so big and ridiculously expensive. I was also reading some of the issues with it so I kept investigating and found Popur. I read reviews again and again and waited for a sale. Then the new model came out. The S7 SLS. I bit the bullet and ordered and I LOVE IT! I love the App. I love how quiet it is. I love that there’s absolutely no smell because it didn’t fit where I had my old litter box so I had to move the litter box into my bedroom, which I wasn’t thrilled about, but you would never know that it’s there. Even my scaredy-cat uses it! I have to say one of the most impressive things is the app and all the different setting options that you have for different Cat personalities! I’ve only had it for a week, so hopefully it will continue to impress me but so far I highly recommend!
