I just received £56 for an infringement. A new low that appears to have involved Pixsy sending the case to a team of solicitors who then charged legal fees out of the settlement. Asked Pixsy why I'm paying the legal fees (this has never happened before as far as I'm aware) and they haven't bothered to respond.

Pixsy helps me detect copyright infringements and neatly handles matters with the infringer. Communication is always very pleasant.

It seems if the the person using your photograph ignores them, they just give up and you'll get an email telling you to "don't give up" and expect you to do their job. What a waste of time.

This use to be an ok site but now it’s gone downhill. They don’t show how often they scan your photos. It was never a lot to begin with so now I’m sure they don’t scan at all. You cannot delete your photos all at once. You can only click 10 individually at a time. Customer service ignored several emails for over 2 weeks and counting, reminder emails have been sent and also ignored. Website is not user friendly. Too much work and hassle to fill in all the forms to submit and then find out it was useless. They blanket ban some websites so you can’t even fill in the form. Cases sit there for months on end with no action. They gave me a lower amount of license fee than previously stated on the email. If I can’t get enough scans for free and photos to be monitored then they won’t get paid. I am switching over to a competitor website which offers unlimited free scans so it catches more violations.

I was able to find several commercial sites who were using my photos without a license. Was able to convert several violators into license paying clients. For the others who didn’t want to pay me, Pixsy sent the cease and desist letters for me. Huge timesaver as I don’t have to do the paperwork involved.

Pixsy makes it easy to go after companies and individuals who steal work from photographers and use the images illegally. Sadly, there is a great need for this service and over the years Pixsy has identified many, many violations of my copyright. I'm very glad they exist!
