An honest review of a long-term UK client of Pixsy... I'm a paying subscriber to their service and yes, they do get results - SOMETIMES. Whilst they do recover fees for _some_ copyright violations, my perception is they only pursue the very easiest cases and seemingly give-up way too easily. Yet again, I've received their 'Unable to proceed' email. The copyright violation is as plain as the nose on your face, on a company website, with a verifiable address. The business has obviously chosen to ignore their emails / phone calls, so that's it - no resolution for me & the copyright violator continues to use my image. Oh, I can file a DMCA report... Whoop-dee-doo. My opinion, Pixsy could do A LOT better. I would even pay the UK court filing fee to file a small claim against the infringers if it meant Pixsy pursued such cases with a little more effort. Oh, and the image search tool is pretty poor. I tend to use Google image search to location violations now - the Pixsy tool just isn't reliable enough.

Thanks for the honest review, and we're sorry this case didn't end the way you wanted. Every case is reviewed individually, and we look at all the options before deciding on next steps. If you'd like to talk this one through, reply to your case email and your case manager will go through it with you. On the search tool: if Google finds something we missed, please send us examples so we can improve it.

The software is still not that good I wish! The rest is okay!

I am not happy with the compensation that pixy is negotiating with the media that use the photos illegally. after they take 50% and the IRS takes their share, I as an author have very little left.

Hi Vuk, thanks for the feedback, and we're sorry the result felt disappointing. Reply to your case email and we'll go through it with you.

I can say this, I would probably give the team that handles cases 10 stars if I could. The search tool needs help though. I still find 80% if my cases off Pixsy, using various free, publicly accessible tools. They aren't automated, the big plus with Pixsy that I really want, but they are more successful at finding copyright violations.

Sometimes the matches found for each image are inaccurate / the wrong images, but other than that I'm glad that the one case that was found was resolved. With the other case there was no cooperation from the infringer.
Response from PixsyOct 25, 2026
Thanks Richard, glad your case was resolved! If you see matches that aren't your images, let us know so we can keep improving our matching.

Too many outstanding disputes.
Response from PixsyJan 22, 2024
Hi Michael, we are sorry to hear about outstanding cases. We do our best to make sure each case is processed and handled without our standard timelines, however we are often at the mercy of the the other side (the image user or their lawyer). If the matter is in the court system, then those timelines can get extended even more. I have asked the team to review your account and see what we can do.

More of my cases are discontinued rather than successfully settled. Will probably cancel my paid subscription.

Hi Coleen, thanks for the feedback, and we're sorry the results haven't felt worth it. Reply to any Pixsy email and we'll go through your cases with you.
