Run from this company! Mine broke after one year. They sent me a new control panel and igniter and that didn’t fix it. So they sent me 2 more igniters and it still didn’t work. I told them I used it to cook for some retirement parties in my office. Pit boss said because I used it to cook for other people it was used as commercial use, therefore voided my warranty. So the warranty applied for them when they send me 3 igniters and a control panel, but when it came time to replace the grill, all of a sudden I used it for commercial use because I had also cooked for other people. There you have it folks, enjoy it for one year but be sure to only cook for yourself or you will be out the money. A coworker told me the same experience of them sending him parts numerous times that didn’t fix his grill either.

I can’t even get it to heat up and I had it put together professionally. My Z grill and Traeger were superior.

The Austin XL I bought didn't even last the first use. Less than an hour in the display read an error code which wouldn't allow use of any controls. Multiple fault findings and reset attempts failed to rectify the issue. The technical support e-mail address on their website "consumersupport....pitbossgrills.eu" (I have to remove the e-mail @ in this review) doesn't work adding to the frustration. Smoker is getting returned to the seller. Avoid these products.

Love PitBoss My ceramic coated grill is for me so much low maintenance, and suits my cooking needs perfectly. Within 1 year the surface has let go of the ceramic coating, each area has now been exposed and rusted. I have been so pedantic in keeping the area coated and protected, no metal spatulas …… yet its let go, complete with cover etc Feel bad writing this, I believe their intentions are well meant, but for the money, it’s disappointing when a manufacturer is not held accountable for what they advertise ……… take your chance

Pit boss use to be good I have one from 2020 and it works great. I recently bought a new version on mine and out of the box it is junk auger motor sounds like an air compressor running and other things are no longer build for quality. I’ve been in contact with pit boss 2 different times and now I’m forced to wait weeks for parts that I’m expected to install myself or I have to ship it back to them and get a new one with me having to pay the shipping both ways ! This company is a joke and will never be referring anyone to buy a product of there’s again.

I have a pit boss pellit Smoker and I must say I love it but the igniter went out 3 weeks ago after only 10 months, customer service said don't worry its under warranty we will send you a new one, its been 3 weeks so I called back and they said they are out of stock and have no idea when they will be back in stock, so now my grill is worthless, I would recommend purchasing a grill fro someone that stocks spare part.

My pellet smoker had a failure of the auger, causing the entire bottom of the unit to fill with pellets, fire where it wasn't supposed to be and ultimately the auger pushed itself out the back of the smoker. Customer service clearly saw melted and deformed parts, yet insisted in sending me a new auger, saying that it would solve the problem. It didn't. Another customer service call and now they are sending me control board. I have lost a $400 smoke, ruined a 30 year Army Ranger reunion dinner, lost a month of use, including Independence Day weekend, spent many hours of my time trouble shooting and attempting repairs and the best Pit Boss can offer is to continue to send parts for a smoker that is clearly damaged beyond use by it's first malfunction.

Brand new grill. Auger moved continuously no matter what buttons pressed or attempts to remedy. The grill went through a full bag of pellets and ran the temperature up above 500 degrees when set at Low! Phoned Pit Boss. Told it was a defective controller. Told I would receive a replacement controller with instructions including a video on how to replace. The new controller came 5 days later. No instructions. No video. No email support other than the delivery notification. I found a YouTube video demonstration of replacing the controller. Took the old one out. Put the new one in matching wire for wire one at a time. Reassembled the grill. Same exact functionality. Augur running continuously no matter what I tried. Then I noticed that when I pressed the manual auger button the fan powered up and the fan light came on. I went back and looked at the wiring and the wiring from the factory was mismatched with the auger wire hooked up to the fan controller and vice versa. I swapped the wires out and now it works. To boot the liner between the hopper top and bottom above the feed area is hanging down into the auger due to failed manufacturing. So that's my experience. Brand new grill. Two manufacturing defects. Poor support. Had to figure it out myself.
