I purchased a Fender 60’s Series…
I purchased a Fender 60’s Series Classic Jazz Bass in Olympic White. It has a Pau Ferro fingerboard. This is one of the nicest looking Jazz Basses I’ve seen. The finish is flawless. The action is very good for a factory setup. I’m playing it through an Acoustic 410B cabinet with an Ampeg B2re amplifier driving it. It really sounds and plays as good to me as a Fender Jazz Bass made in the USA. The neck is very comfortable to play. I’m pretty sure it has a “C” shaped neck. It’s made in Mexico, and the workmanship is terrific. I debated buying something not made here in the States, but this bass was at least $300 less than it’s US counterpart. I really like the 60’s retro look and sound. I bought a Fender hard case in tweed to go along with the 60’s theme. The bass does come with a nice black, nylon gig bag. The bass came via UPS and it was triple boxed. All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase.
