PetSmartReviews of petsmart.com

Although I have had good experiences before with PetSmart groomers in Edmonton and Sherwood Park, I've also had a couple really bad ones. The first was just a terrible haircut but most recently, they groomer shaved my dogs genital area (I'm not sure why, they don't usually) and he got such bad razor burn which turned into a $175 vet bill for meds and lots of other expenses finding the best cone/donut/onesie to get him to stop licking the area raw. Not to mention his suffering. I don't like to complain but I won't using PetSmart groomers ever again.

This relates to the Petsmart in Gainesville, VA. I made a dog grooming appointment at 12:30. I called at 12:15 and said I was going to be late. The young lady told me that as long as I was there by 12:50, I would be okay. I loaded up my dog and walked in the door of the grooming salon at 12:48. The groomer, her name was Katelyn, told me she would not take my dog because I was late. I told her I wasn’t late. She lied and said it was 12:52, which it wasn’t. I went to the store manager. He agreed with me that I wasn’t late, but he would not order them to take my dog. Unbelievable. It wasn’t the inconvenience that upset me, it was her blatant lie. And no consequence to her at all. I see no reason to give this store my business anymore.

Placed online order for store pickup. My card was immediately charged but I got no email confirmation of the order. Eventually I got a response from their customer service who claimed it was my fault. Three days later an email finally arrives with my order number. I go to the store a few hours later and am told that my order was cancelled and I would get a refund to my card shortly. Also told that they are not responsible for the online ordering system--"we don't do the emails." I wait for a week. Finally I contact their customer service and am told that the order is ready for pickup and call the store if there are problems. The store doesn't answer its phone. I have to drive down there again just to be told again that the order was cancelled and I have to call customer service for a refund. Once again customer services says the order is ready for pickup. Long story short, no refund and no items. I've never experienced this kind of open theft before from a big business. I've started the fraud process with my bank; they tell me it is not the first time they have had a fraud claim for this company. Next time I will check trustpilot BEFORE ordering from a new company.

This has to be the worst grooming of a dog I’ve ever seen.. brought my small 12 lb poodle mix in for grooming yes she was matted in placeS but they assured me they would leave her as long. As possible . I just picked up a skinned rabbit! I’m so pissed they said they would refund $95 they charged me but I’m in shock at what they did to this dog in middle of winter.I will get my money back luckily hair grows back. Just wanted to warn people … what a nightmare

Everytime I drop my dog off I wait 8 hours. The employees are very rude and don't answer the phone.

I adopted a puppy from Petsmart in Tanasborne through Compassion Companion out of Texas. She was listless and I was told she was depressed. I asked several times if they were sure she was ok, and they all said she just needs love. The adoption happened so quick I didn't even get a good look at her. She wreaked from laying in pee and whatever other conditions she had to endure. She died within 2 hours of me adopting her. She had just been spayed days before. I don't believe a reputable vet would spay a puppy so filthy (I can't overstate this, I believe had she lived I would never have gotten the stench out). They charge $575 for a dog there. This is supposed to be a non profit organization that cares about animals. How could they not notice that this puppy was so close to death? I contacted Petsmart and they have not investigated this company or contacted the Vet to see what kind of business he does. Petsmart is irresponsible for sponsoring this company without knowing anything about them. Please help make them take action.

i buy pet supplies each week from petsmart as you enter store you are greeted great customer assistance

After refusing service for being late a couple of years ago (even though the dogs sit in the kennel for 15 to 30 mins before service starts) I decided to give this location another chance. Took him in at 10:20 for a 10:30 appt. He pooped and peed prior to going in. Nothing unusual. By 11:20 I get a call that he needed to be picked up because he had diarrhea and threw up. I knew this was very off because we had been up hours earlier with no issues. Understanding he could have been stressed I asked questions. Him throwing up was explained to me as clear liquid throw up. I know was either from him drinking water too quickly or mucous from getting excited or stressed and coughing. His so called diarrhea was most likely 1 lose stool which can happen time to time but doesn’t mean it’s diarrhea. If you have loose stool repeatedly 3 or more times a day then it’s diarrhea. Explained to me that he pooped in the kennel once and had to be rewashed. Why was he washed and put back in the kennel? I picked him up and he had no desire to pee or poop outside the store. Got him home no throw up or need to poop for the remainder of the day. Mind you my Marley is a hyper Morkey. Most likely the groomer was having a time with him and didn’t know how to settle him. I’ve taken him to the Carmia location and never had an issue. Only notated that he’s very hyper happy dog. I won’t give this place another chance to care for him because they can only handle dogs that sit still and are quiet through the process. Very disappointed because it takes 2-3 weeks to get a new appointment. Talked to the manger 12/28 and director and they sided with the groomer. not realizing the generic explanation can be used for whatever scenario the groomer chooses. I will continue to escalate.
