I was at the Coon Rapids store and they had a sale on an item, buy 1 get 25% off the second. I asked the gentleman checking me out if I could get a rain check and he attempted to ask the manager, Jill. She was checking out a customer at the time so told him he needed to call someone else even though she didn’t listen to the issue. Being the manager she was the only one that could assist so after her customer left and before the next one came he TRIED to explain but she again told him to call someone else. I had told him I could wait but I also told her that she was the only one who could assist. She then snapped at me and him saying she understood but she wasn’t going to stop with her customer. I understood and said “Okay okay okay”. When she finally came over, she gave me a discount and when he said he knew she was the only one who could help, she put her hand up and snapped at him saying “I don’t…” Having worked in retail for many years, I understand she was busy and I understand she didn’t want to stop b helping her customers but she handled the situation terribly by snapping at me and him. She could have simply stated she would be over once she was done with customers or at least listened to what the situation was before telling him he needed to call someone else. Her actions were anything but managerial and I feel bad for the gentleman that assisted me. I’m hesitant to got back to that store because of how Jill handled the situation.

I took my dog for nail grinder and cut walking in and the groomer at PetSmart on bloomingdale ave. missed the two hidden nails on both feet. She cut all the other nails because I shave the feet so it can be easier to see the nails and do a better job. I can’t believe the groomers at PetSmart don’t know the dogs have 5 nails on the front feet.

i didn’t like how overpriced they are just for a animal. i wish they would lower prices now days because now days everyone getting low on money.

My beagle puppy enrolled in Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced training at the Clive, Iowa PetSmart. My trainer, Lisa D. is a honest to goodness dog whisperer. My dog would often do things for her that she wouldn’t do for me. She clearly demonstrates knowledge and experience. She’s super patient with both the dogs and the dog parents. I would highly recommend her as a trainer. The issues I have with the training have nothing to do with Lisa. The down side has to do with the PetSmart facility and with the pace of the classes. If PetSmart has too many day camp campers or are running more than one training class at a time, your class might get booted out into the store and have to have class over by the grooming salon (which is open) and the medical center (which was closed during our Sunday classes) This may not happen on other days of the week, but it happened several times during my classes. The downside is, 1) It’s noisy so you can’t always hear the instructor 2) It’s in the store so shoppers are walking through your class 3) There are distracting sights and smells for your pet and 4) Customers interrupt your class and ask your trainer for help finding a product. The other issue I have is the classes are too close together. This is partly my fault as I should have thought it through better. As soon as Beginner class is over, Intermediate starts the next week, and Advanced starts the week after that ends. My pup did just fine in Beginner and is really getting all the beginner concepts and commands down pat now. Only problem is, she’s in the Advanced class now. She is definitely a different pup than the crazy wild 7 month old that started Beginner class, but she’s not grasping any of the Advanced concepts and in fact is regressing in some ways. My advice would be to assess your dog’s advancement and your patience level before signing up for more than the two of you can handle.
