Spent an hour trying to make a purchase before giving up. Basic "Pay with credit card" option didn't load on several devices/browsers even without ad-block. The other options require you to send them your government ID and proof of your adress etc.
Why is this a thing when Paypal exists?

Take your money and never answer.
Take your money and never answer.
The first purchase went through ok, but when I made the second larger purchase, then everything went south. This is how they get you! You try something small and they'll go through, but when you do the full transaction suddenly they won't answer your e-mails, phone calls or even social media.
WHAT A RIP OFF!

Tried to purchase from Black Desert Online.
Was trying to make a purchase from a video game called Black Desert Online when I was asked to upload a photo of my drivers license and a receipt. There was no explanation what this receipt is supposed to be so I contacted the company, Paymentwall, and was told they want a front and back photo of my credit card. Both of these are already insane, but I went ahead and blacked out everything but my name and last four on the credit card and uploaded them. At this point they emailed me saying they didn't receive anything and I need to email the photos to them. I reply saying email is insecure and there is no way I am sending personally identifiable info on it. They reply again saying that they are security conscious and that's why they are asking for it and I only need to leave my full name, expiry, photo, and date of birth on the image. At this point I am just shocked as that is the exact full PII that the law in the US says companies must protect with encryption or the like. This company is outrageous!

DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING!!!
DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING THEY ASK FOR. Contact who ever it is you are trying to make a purchase from and let them know what Fraudwall is trying to do to its costumers.
I tried to buy Black Desert Online. Was told my account was blocked for fraud. I contacted Paymentwall and they requested photos of the front and back of my ID and credit card. I told them I would not be sending any such photos and to unblock my account as this was the first time ever using their services and should not have thrown any red flags. They stated they would not remove the restrictions until I sent them what they wanted. So I contacted Back Desert Online and told them what was going on. A GM contacted me saying they had contacted Paymentwall and told them to remove the restrictions on my account. Not even 10 minutes later I received an email from Paymentwall saying my account was no longer restricted.

Worst experience I've ever gone through…
Worst experience I've ever gone through with a service.
TLDR: I wanted to refund the purchase and after almost 2 months, I still haven't received it.
Detailed:
I bought ExpressVPN for one year to try it out, then, at the first day I already wasn't liking the service is much, so I used their "Risk-free 30 money guarantee". The first 30 days of not receiving it were just ExpressVPN telling me that refunds can take as long as 30 days to be reflected on my account. I was like, ok, I'll have to live with that then. Well, 30 days passed and I still didn't receive it back. So I contacted ExpressVPN again who told me to contact my bank about the matter. My bank told me, that Sofort (my payment method) payments are refunded to the account of my bank, which then sends it to client accounts, when a name and stuff like that is attached to the transaction description. Well, since there was no such information added to the description, the payment bounced back to Paymentwall, my bank said. So I asked ExpressVPN again and they then told me to contact Paymentwall with an email they gave me. I then told them what my bank told me and gave them the actual data of my bank account. Literally, the support of them was telling me SIX times to contact my bank about that matter. Since I didn't want to just hang up on the money, I of course didn't just say, "okay you can have my money! :)" After those six times explaining everything again and again, they, at least said, they'd bring it to the special payment team and that I should give them my transaction history to proof I didn't get the money. Well, I gave it over to them, and after always days of delays, after asking again, because Paymentwall didn't reply, they still gave me the answer that is was "successfully refunded" and that I should "contact my bank". Absolute nightmare and worst experience I've made so far with a payment processor.
Note: I had the exact same issue with NordVPN and Checkout.com, but they were competent enough to give me my money back about 2 weeks ago.
Appeal: Now, I'll go to the police in the next few days and by writing this, I hope I can help customers and merchants to NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

As for support
As for support, they did good job. They tried their best to solve my account issues and explain what i need to do, to get it fixed. Good communication and treated me nicely, even if i was a bit heated.

Be avare of these crooks
Be avare, that you might not receive your payouts from them!!! That’s what happened to me once I lstopped using their platform. Absolutely rubbish product with the worst possible support team. It took me 1 month to add new project to their system. In stripe exactly the same process was done in 4 hours! Their support sometimes reply 5-7 days after the question was made. I’m so happy to remove paymentwall from all of my projects! Seriously, I didn’t think it was possible to get such a rubbish service in digital products until I used Paymentwall. Total rubbish!

Dear Liutauras, we are sorry to hear about your experience and want to extend our apologies for any delays in communication. With regards to payout schedules, it's necessary for us to stagger the release of funds over a certain period of time in order to mitigate some of the risks inherent to payment processing. We are always looking for more ways to provide better service, and your feedback is a valuable part of this process.
