Emergency - that means life or death right? This company is a scam. Their subpar doctors misdiagnose urgent issues. You go to emergency- they tell it could be "x" but we can't tell and its too dangerous of surgery dont feel comfortable trying it, we can only do more harm than good if it is "x". Go to true surgeon for consult and tell him the history - this dog needs surgery right now or it will die. Pawp - no, thats not an emergency. We want see how much you paid for everything else even though that's not what you are claiming. Give us all the previous unnecessary paperwork even those those pieces aren't the emergency you're claiming. If anyone puts together a class action with place - add me to the list.

We had a medical emergency with our cat, and I followed the instructions as to having the video call with the Pawp vet. That vet told me during that chat to take him to the vet ASAP, due to his symptoms and we did. Pawp then refused to cover any of it. I understand perhaps not covering some parts, but having spent 20 a month for multiple months, then following the instructions exactly as they are in the terms, and being outright denied coverage feels like straight up theft. EDIT 6/2/2023 I see your reply. To recap, I paid you for many months, and followed your instructions exactly. I video conferenced your Vet, as required, and followed her SPECIFIC direction to take my cat to the vet. The vet trip resulted in him being treated in an emergency fashion that saved his life, and he was kept overnight for observation to make sure he did not relapse. You simply did not like the bill when it was presented, and used this easy out, vague excuse to justify your refusal to complete your obligation. Your service is a scam, overall. I am sure you pay some here and there, and pad your online reviews to bury ones like this to maintain the appearance of being legitimate.

It was very frustrating and stressful for me to try and navigate PAWP's system for reimbursement for emergency pet services. Having to do everything on-line was very difficult, and didn't allow for me to ask questions so I could figure out what was needed. Third time through, the application was approved, and I have been told the reimbursement will be transferred to my bank account by tomorrow. I'm so glad this was resolved, but wish the process was easier. A phone contact number would really help!

The vet answered our chat request in less than a minute and immediately invited us to video chat when I explained the situation. She then told us to get our dog to the vet and that she would activate our fund. The call lasted less than 5 minutes. Our pup ended up being hospitalized for about 36 hours and PAWP helped us cover about 80% of the cost. We were approved in 3 business days and I initiated an ACH deposit for easier payment to the emergency vet. This service is well worth the monthly payment and we will be continuing to stay with them.

I had several problems with auto ship of heart meds for my pet. The system does not adjust the auto ship according to the amount of meds prescribed. A prescription can be 50 pills for a 60 day period which results in a order being needed before the next autoship. Then another auto shipment will be sent within two weeks resulting in too much medication on hand over and over. There is no method to correct this on the website and they don't have a working customer service number. Chat doesn't seem able to correct theses issues either. My pet collapsed on a Sunday, I rushed him to an emergency vet and we chose to euthanize him. The next day I checked the emergency plan I had been paying a year for to find that because I didn't stop and call them so they could direct me to a vet of their choice I don't qualify for that reimbursement. Maybe I am overly sensitive at this moment but nothing about this company's policies or systems give any confidence that they care about your pet or you as a customer.

the doctor was great and receptive, however, we think she may have missed the mark a bit...it seems that fleas which is what our pup has is a reason for most of the symptoms he is experiencing. once we removed the fleas and gave him flea medicine his health turned around quickly...he is eating on his own and his poop is continuing to solidify
