The customer service for Otter.ai is trash beyond comprehension. The product is not working and nobody is responding to my emails or helping figure it out. I regret very much making this purchase.

Horrible company. Without notice they renewed my teen daughter $1468 for 8 Pro Accounts. I called every day for three days and sent 5 emails. Phone was programmed to busy and no response to my emails. They should be investigated for fraud by the government. NEVER NEVER NEVER use this take-your-money-and-run company!!

Customer service sucks beyond comprehension. I've been waiting to get help with an issue for over a month now. About every 3rd attempt I get a automated note that say, "Sorry, due to high demand its taking us longer than expected to reply." It's all they have. The software seems pretty good, but there is no support. A perfect case of a company trying to grab as many users as possible to sell out to Microsoft or one of the big boys. (Date of experience below is a joke... how about a range from January 21st - current)

Terrible company, took a renewal payment after I cancelled subscription. Do NOT go near them!!!! I've tried to contact them to get this sorted but with no joy... if you're in the EU or UK I'd suggest using the right to be forgotten, if they fail in that report them.

This used to be a great product with an intuitive UI and simple, transparent pricing but all this has changed drastically. On the pro plan, there's a 10 upload per month restriction that's only revealed after you start uploading items. I need 20-30 uploads some months and 0 others. So I would have paid monthly had this been clear. Performance is really poor, I received 4 or 5 upload errors and there's no option to resume an upload, you have to start from scratch. The listing UI is error prone, it doesn't order files alphanumerically by default and it doesn't let users order them manually. As a result, it was tricky to see at a glance which of my uploads were missing and I accidentally uploaded the same file twice, which caused me to blow my 10-file limit. The transcription UI makes it difficult to select, copy, and paste text and to search for terms. I actually needed to paste text to a Google doc in order to use the transcription. Sales buttons and banners crowd the UI and they're impossible to dismiss. There also doesn't seem to be any support available. I raised a ticket requesting to convert to a monthly Business plan within 24 hours of subscribing to a yearly Pro plan. Or failing that, I requested an extra file allowance to compensate for the duplicate file upload. I haven't received a reply. Overall experience feels designed to extract payment without providing a viable service. So I suspect this product won't be around very much longer. With free decent transcription features increasingly being built in to conferencing software, there's no reason to invest in this tool with poor UI and no support capability.

Service was OK until they decided to 3X the price. Service cancelled.

Be aware of this company!!! They will renew your annual plan and charge you without any notification. After that, you cannot cancel your plan with a refund.
