Please can you help? It’s impossible to cancel the subscription! Each time I click on the cancel button, i have an other page that is displayed in which I have to explain my rationale to cancel (click button). From there the page is freezed and it’s impossible to go through and then impossible to finalize the cancellation process! Is it a kind of scam or what ??

I had a very bad experience with OtterAI which negatively influenced my views on AI and transcription abilities of AI-powered tools. Not only does Otter fail to capture non-AngloSaxon (Read American) accents, it delivers jibberish when live recording South Asian accents that often did not even make sense. I had to stop the recording once and abandoned it as a recording tool - reverting back to my mobile as a recorder because it just added so many hours to transcribing the old fashioned way. Finally, I was billed three times by Otter - and when they refunded, there was discrepancy in USD rate as well as losses in conversion over time. Otter, never again.

I'been using Otter since 2017. Honestly, the service is only getting worse, while the company is getting ever more disruptive and invasive. Sad to see how the company is developing. Used to only use Otter for transcriptions before and gladly had a paid subscription. WOULDN'T do that now!!!

Major privacy concerns with Otter Ai. I signed up to read meeting notes taken by another individual, and without me actually requesting it the server was joining meetings in my name and doing note taking, sending reminder emails to other contacts in my name. All of this not requested by me! When I cancelled my account, I continued to receive emails and notifications from them. I’ve heard other medical professionals also say they have had significant privacy concerns with Otter Ai.

The tool is very useful. It's a nightmare to integrate into Zoom. Pages of instructions. They're customer support is non-existent. I emailed them in August and no response. They also somehow created two accounts for me and double billed me and haven't responded.

Paid for premium service for a month. Cancelled through their procedures and three months later still being charged. Each month I have to contact my credit card company to dispute the charges.

Transcriptions were okay but I'm not going to reread the whole transcription of a meeting and the AI summaries and action items were useless. Otter makes it very hard to fully remove in an obviously intentional way. I no longer want this service so why would I want to share the details of all of my meetings with them. I definitely do not recommend Otter.

I really wanted to use Otter - I could use a transcript service for some things - but setting up an Otter account is like fending off the guy who just wants to get into your pants. They wanted all my calendar contacts before I had even figured out how to use it - and how it would be useful to me. I gave it another try because a platform I was using was using it and the same frustration - oversell, overshare - don't give me a chance to see how this is useful in my day to day work. I hope they do see this because once again I am cutting off something I would actually find useful if they would just give me a chance and not get too personal too fast.
