Such a poor experience. I received an otter.ai summary of a meeting that I attended. Clicking the link to receive more details ABOUT THAT MEETING, forced me to create an account for me and accepting that otter get's access to my Office365 etc. Why??? Tried 1 hour different options, but gave it up in frustration. => Will not dare to let my customers do the same poor experience with my meeting minutes :(

Very disappointed with their customer service. I needed lots of minutes for video calls and my understating of the minutes applying only to recording outside minutes let me to need to drop the service. However, their customer service gave not consideration to my predicament. Zero flexibly once they have your money. Avoid at all costs

So slow, so so slow. Just the rate that the website pages reveal a transcript does not reflect the Pro price tag (which by the way is limited to 1.5 hrs of audio to text meaning you'll have to break the audio down into chunks OR pay even more for a more complete service)... really disappointing service and value for money

I agree with so many other reviews here about support. I’ve had a business subscription for my company for less than two months and needed support as Otter is sharing meeting notes despite my settings for this being turned off. I have sent multiple emails expecting the “priority support” which is supposed to be a selling point of this plan, and I’ve heard from nobody! Otter seems like a front for harvesting information as there is no after sales service. I’m going to lodge a formal complaint with the US Federal Trade Commission and I urge others to do the same.

We are a relatively new customer, having taken out an account in early September. We used the IOS app for a 3-hour in-person meeting of six people of three males/3 females. The transcript "recognised" two speakers. Speaker 1 was an amalgamation of different male and female voices; Speaker 2 ditto. We hoped Otter would be a reliable minute taker, but its failure on that front has created extra work. We contacted Customer support that day and asked for any help or guidance, ticking the box which allowed them to listen to the recording. Since then, no response, nothing. And that is despite two further support tickets asking for updates. Our experience of the app for in-person meetings is terrible and the support is zero. And we're a new customer. It seems from other reviews on this site that they are a company to avoid in these circumstances.

Otter.ai says they give "priority support" for business but the main function I needed stopped working and they haven't responded to multiple request tickets for support over the past three weeks. So now I've spent over $200 if I remember correctly for a yearly membership and the program does not work for me any longer. I have no support, no one to talk to and no avenue for a refund. The program was decent before this happened but it's basically useless as a transcription tool now as it stopped recognizing all of my vocabulary. I've troubleshooter extensively to fix this on my own. Terrible company that cheated me.

Used to be great in the early days, but they just got greedy and their customer support got worse and worse. I reported a glitch and received no feedback whatsoever. Several months have passed and I've still not had an update other than, "It's been escalated to the relevant team." I also felt like they were just concentrating on adding more and more features that I didn't want/need that actually were just annoying to navigate or avoid, but meanwhile the quality of transcription didn't improve at all, so I still spent a substantial amount of time amending/editing transcripts. Didn't renew my subscription when it expired. Have found a much better and far cheaper alternative. Wouldn't recommend Otter to friends/colleagues.

I was forced to sign up for Otterpilot to access the chat notes for a webinar I attended. Warning, if you are given a link to do this DON'T. The company will demand access to all of your personal information and email account information and try to get you to give them access to your friends a colleagues as well. The site itself bombards you with advertising and demands to sign up to their paid services and endless demands to sign in repeatedly with increased demands for access to personal information each time. They also begin straight away bombarding your email account with advertising and their unsubscribe button doesn't work. The one thing it doesn't do is give you access to the meeting notes for the meeting you attended. The whole thing is a giant data collection scam to collect your data and use it for high pressure sales tactics. They want everything they can get from you and you get nothing in return
