Older people that can benefit from this medical device are either required buy a replacement expensive phone or an expensive omipod controllor. The A (eg A17) series samsung phone was made unable to handle the omnipod 5 app and only be used with SAMSUNG S series that cost $800 to $1,300. A 17 was on the list and was rendered incompatible. You have use use g7 on A17 phone that connect to omipod controller witch might be cheaper than buying an S series phone. These people are on tight budget why make their phone unable to support the omnipod app and buy a controller or S series phone!!!!

The pods are extremely unreliable. They fail constantly and the company is slow to replace them.

Omnipod 5 are just awful. Constantly fail, with no way of knowing until your blood sugar is already really high. It is impossible to change pods smoothly without spiking blood sugar. When they work they do a great job but thats only about 50% of the time. I would strongly advise against using these (as a diabetic for 27 years) desperately trying to get my local diabetic team to get me a better option. Really really poor.

I’ve been on the Omnipod 5 a couple years now. Never in my entire life found getting a replacement pod for issues unrelated to my control. It’s like pulling teeth and they’re already paid from insurance and expect to receive functioning pods. Received an alarm and routed me to remove my pod, therefore I had to use a new pod and the one that malfunctioned had 2 days left. Of course I called for a replacement, representative took me around the United States with stupid questions, asked me to go into my menu so they can see whatever..hell no I’m not allowing you to see anything, this has nothing to do with a pod replacement. I did indicate that you guys as access to view our pods in your system so no you’re not getting access to nothing. Ask how many pods I had left on hand? 3 was told it will ship in 2-3 business days since I’m down to 3. A tracking will be provided. It’s now day 4 and no pod, no tracking. I telephoned to see what happened? The ding bags stated it is 80% completed which was a lie, there was never a replacement submitted in the first place. Did a replacement and now stating it will arrive Saturday…we will see. I have taken many losses of pods to prevent from dealing with the bull. Just 2026 I’ve loss at least 5-6 pods that fell off or changing because it’s not giving me insulin. When this alarm went off that did it for me, these morans are replacing this one, enough is enough.

Absolutely rubbish company and rubbish service. I don’t know should I call it scam or fraud? They toke all my details to send me the pod than phoned me to confirm my details, end of the call been told that they will send me A DUMMY Omnipod not really one . Not recommended at all

My experience with Omnipod has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The system is marketed as a convenient, life-improving solution, but in reality it feels unreliable and stressful to use day-to-day. Pods fail far too often, sometimes without warning, leaving me dealing with unexpected highs and lows. Adhesion is also a major issue—pods don’t stay secure as they should, which makes normal activities unnecessarily stressful. For something that’s supposed to simplify diabetes management, it often does the opposite. Customer support has been another major frustration. Getting help takes too long, and when issues are reported, the responses feel scripted and unhelpful rather than actually solving the problem. In situations where quick support is critical, this is simply not good enough. Overall, the product feels inconsistent and poorly supported, especially considering how essential it is for health management. I expected reliability and peace of mind, but unfortunately, I’ve experienced the opposite.

Sehr schlechter Sensor, Kam oft vor, dass es in der Nacht einfach gar nicht gemessen hat und dies dann zu schlechten Werten geführt hat. Oft auch tagsüber gibt es Perioden die teilweise länger andauern und er nicht misst. Sehr enttäuscht von dem Produkt.
