These pods are faulty. My husband uses these pods and they fail very often—adhesive issues, leaks, and incorrect readings. We are stuck with several boxes as they do not support the lower target glucose. The company refuses to replace them and the pharmacy will not take them back.
We are giving up on these faulty, inferior pods. We will switch to Tandem Mobi tubeless as soon as they are available.
Frustrated ex Omnipod customer.

As a long time diabetic I switched from…
As a long time diabetic I switched from the mobi insulin pump to the omnipod 5 and couldn’t be happier. No more tubes.!! I found the Omnipod 5 to deliver smooth, reliable insulin management with no tubing, smart automated adjustments, and an easy‑to‑use app—making day‑to‑day control feel lighter, faster, and far more convenient. The entire team was attentive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with from start to finish. They made the entire process smooth and straightforward. My clinician (Stacy) was exceptional—clear guidance, patient support, and genuine care that made everything feel comfortable and confident. Truly outstanding service all around.

Since August 8 @7:09pm
Since August 8 @7:09pm . I have been without sensor readings and today is now Monday August 12 @11:57 am . I have gone 24 plus hours without sensor readings. The first night with this problem I have lost a lot of sleep. I tried to troubleshoot it myself. About 10:00 pm I called omnipod troubleshooting. They couldn’t fixed the problem. During the night I called a couple more times. I was on the phone to about 3:30 am . We tried everything and they invented some new troubleshooting procedures. I lost a lot of sleep that night. The next calls couple more times each time was a failed . The last time I the individual said he was going to make it a high priority. Today Monday August 11 omnipod 5 hasn’t called be . Omnipod 5 is an inferior product and the Food Drug Administration should have not given approval to this product. My issue hast
been going since now.

Excellent support by QA Hospital & Omnipod Representative
My son struggles daily with his diabetes management and faced with having to transfer his data to a new hand controller proved overwhelming. However, QA Hospital diabetic team promptly called out the Omnipod Representative (Bal Singh) who patiently went through the process step by step with him, and thankfully his pump is now back online.

An absolutely awful product
An absolutely awful product. My Omnipod technician in my city set me up with my script and then when I went to pick it up, I found out it was $2400. They do not check with your insurance to see your cost before issuing the script. The pods repeatedly fall off and if they do you just lose out on all the insulin you had remaining in that pod. They will replace the pod but you’re shit out of luck on the insulin. This has now caused me to run out of my insulin prior to the refill date authorized by my insurance so my insulin script right now is $900. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I

Not happy
The product is a good idea, but the quality and customer service is terrible.
Quality: adhesion is inadequate. If you are active, the pump is likely to fail before the insulin is fully discharge. It is summer and I work outside a lot and swim in my pool regularly. This product is so bad, I have had to stop using the pump. I purchased the waterproof over lay patch (not provided by Omnipod) and it falls off faster than the pump.
Customer service: this company had a recall on product. They have data on who received the lot numbers. I know this because when I activated one on the list, I got a text and phone call. Now, problem I have with the company, I called to inquire about replacing one box of 5 pods that were defected. Because I have had to stop using the product several times over the year, the product was expired. So they would not replace it. Knowing their product is not perfect and knowing they sent out defective pods, I don’t think replacing 5 pods is a big ask. Dexcom replaces sensors virtually with no question asked. They do track requests to control consumer abuse and has some guidelines. The difference here is Dexcom has competition and Omnipod has none. The minute a comparable pump comes out, I will dump Omnipod. I have used this product long term so I am not a newbee. I also have not had an issue with their previous pumps. My issues have been with the Omnipod 5. This includes adhesion and reliability. Shame on Omnipod for taking advantage of their consumers.

After living with Type 1 diabetes for…
After living with Type 1 diabetes for over 40 years, I can honestly say that Omnipod has changed my life.
I was diagnosed at just 23 years old, and for four decades my blood sugar was constantly up and down. I gave myself 5 to 6 insulin injections every single day. It was exhausting, stressful, and there were many sleepless nights worrying about my glucose levels.
Two weeks ago, my doctor at the University of Miami gave me the opportunity to start using an insulin pump. After attending the training seminar, I chose the Omnipod—and it has been one of the best decisions of my life.
For the first time in 40 years, I have true peace of mind. I can sleep through the night without constant fear. My blood sugar is more stable, and I finally feel like I have a better quality of life and more freedom.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who made Omnipod possible. May God bless the founders, Mr. John Brooks and Mr. John Carabott, and the entire Omnipod team for creating technology that has transformed the lives of people like me.
I am deeply grateful. Thank you for giving me hope, peace, and a new way to live.

Sorry, no replacement for bad pods!
Just got off the phone with an omnipod representative. After explaining that my pods would not connect to my sensor they said that my pods had expired and they would not replace them. I appear to have an entire order that has expired. I'm out the cost of the order, the insulin, almost 2 bottles. I'll never use omnipod again and I encourage everyone to avoid them because when you really need them, their policy is, SORRY
