I mean it works, most of the time, but it literally treats you like a child with its over use of alert chimes and vibrations that you can't turn off. Does it really need to alert me an hour before it expires? Especially when I've had to turn off the reader because it won't stop beeping every 5 minutes to say my glucose is high, even though I've acknowledged it already and took insulin? Not to mention, the pod is what suggested the dosage to begin with that led to the high sugar, so give me a break. Then the pod keeps beeping every minute until I boot up the reader again to view the alert that I clearly heard coming from the pod itself just to tell me that the pod will expire in an hour. Like my 45 year old self can't remember that. Most of the time, I want to break the reader in half for annoying me to death.

Nach erfolgten Update wurde die Einstellung temporäre Basalrate geändert. Nun kann man nicht mehr in Prozent die Basalrate für einen bestimmten Zeitraum ändern, sondern muss vorher eine Basalrate errechnen und diese eingeben. Der Kundenservice weiß überhaupt nicht, von was man spricht, obwohl dies ein Angebot des Herstellers ist. Kann so nicht umgesetzt werden, weil sich die Grundrate im Laufe des Tages ständig ändert und somit müsste man sich immer wieder Alarme setzen, um die die Basalrate anzupassen. Schlechte Lösung und schlechter Service.

I have been using omnipod for a little over 2 1/2 years . It has always been terrible . They don’t want to improve the algorithm they don’t want to improve the corrections or try to stop a high or a low . Especially the high though even with a prebolus . It still goes high . I have reached out to the corporate line to complain to the folks who can actually make a change . I reached out when I first started using the device . The 800 number people said to go to a different device . Once reaching out to corporate and to the ceo’s direct line and answering machine as well as his assistant repeatedly and very frustrated they did not want to try to fix the problem or hear me out . The complaints included not having an iPhone app , the algorithm not managing BG’s as well as they had marketed . It set me over the top . Seeing as it’s a device that manages homeostasis I was even more upset . The ceo (Jim hollingshead) instead of returning my call or trying to make an attempt to . He gave me some underling who couldn’t fix it in general . Which fired me up more . So I continued to call every single day to try to get him to man up and just talk to the customer . Nothing . With that he decided to put a court case on me to silence me . Which I thought was even more frustrating when my whole intent was to improve the product and avoid the constant highs and lows . If I don’t eat my bg’s are perfect. I dose and sometimes it’s perfect but when it’s not it just goes out of control . So I was trying to let them know their algorithm wasn’t working and it was a poor design . And they should redo it . They didn’t like hearing that . And said to choose a different product . I said put a cease and desist . They didn’t . Since then i have learned that there is a company called trio I believe that jailbreaks the omnipod software and loads their own software onto the pods . If that isn’t a slap in the face to omnipod and a call to action to improve their product idk what is . In addition to that the omnipod 5 with Dexcom g7 works terribly like other people have said it has to be right next to each other or no data . How can on device have a 3 day timeline and the other have 10-15 day timeline and they expect them to stay together ? It is constant issue and a company that doesn’t want to hear about your problems with their product , they would rather you just leave their company or replace the pod . I had also recommended to the ceos answering machine to work with Dexcom more so when g7 came out it would better integrate I could forsee these issues coming since omnipod works at a snails pace . Also maybe working with Dexcom they would be able to improve their high notifications . On the Dexcom when you start going low it will pop up across the top with red lettering saying 55 in 20 minutes so you have an expectation of the urgency . I had said to both Dexcom and omnipod ceos at the time they needed that for highs . I figured that would improve the lack of high prevention . They did not do that or want to do that according to the omnipod testimony in the court herring . And that is wild that they have no intent on improving the product they would just rather design a new one . Which doesn’t help us in the current situation . I would say this is the worst pump company and has the worst polices and procedures for their customers livelyhood . I do not know what would be a call to action . Jim hollingshead is now gone. There is a Johnson and Johnson lifetime employee as the ceo now her name is Ashley mcevoy or something there now . She has not made a public statement about the company polices or procedures. Or show any intent on improving it . Where is a leader when we need one ? I don’t get it ! It is so frustrating! Especially when multiple people have died because of omnipods mistakes or pod faults .

I just switched to omnipod, consistently beeps all the freaking time, doesn't correct my blood sugar then switches modes, I hate this damn thing and trying to get a representative to teach me how to use it took 3 months that should have been a sign but they claim this is a life changing solution......yeah for the worst....I'm about to go back to my lantis

There is no help for fixing issues when you call. It takes barely minimum 15 minutes to replace a single pod. Great customer service but shit company

Absolute shit! Why to make our lives even harder? I wish I could go back to what it was before this”fantastic’ improvement!

Biggest scam and bullshit ever, 50/50 if the insulin even absorbs properly, constant issues, falls off all the time, glucose management is impossible since you never really know if it will work properly! Definitely would NOT recommend, HbA1c got worse, seriously thinking about going back to pens!
