I signed up for Numerade and used the service once during my 1 week's trial. I canceled the service during the trial or assumed I had on the website. Imagine my surprise when my debit card was charged $179.88 making it almost impossible to make my rent payment of $2100. I had paid through PayPal, and after reading all the negative reviews on various websites I decided to file a resolution request on PayPal as well as contact the company through the only means available which is email. I received an email back from Numerade saying they would have issued a partial refund but could not due to the pending complaint on Paypal. I have now been waiting three weeks for any decision on my complaint. I was suppose to receive a response no later than April 14. Now they have moved it to April 16. They say they are reviewing the information received from Numerade. I can only imagine what the say. It appears that even if you have canceled it on the website, it does not actually cancel. Don't ever sign up for or use this service. It will cost you with no recourse. If I could rate them -0- stars I would. The loss of that money created a snowball effect on my finances. By the time I finally get a response, it may be too late to dispute the charge with my bank. In response to your answer: Paypal base their decision on whatever you decide to tell them. Since it is not viewable, you could tell them anything, and nobody knows if it was truthful or not.

Horrible experience! Signed up for a free trial on March 27th and when I went back to cancel my “subscription”, it said that I was on the free plan and that I had no upcoming payments so I assumed that I didn’t have to pay anything as I couldn’t find a way to cancel my trial. Today I woke up and found that I had been charged $179.88 through an email that I never signed up with and never got an email reminding me that my trial was supposedly about to end on that account. When I tried to email one of the recommended emails for support so that I could get a refund, I just got hit with an automated email telling me about a discount. Never recommending to anyone.

Complete dogsh*t. I cancelled my free trial BEFORE the 7 week mark and they still charged me the $179. I submitted an appeal and they filed it and disappeared. Never responded when I followed up. The worst part is that I didn’t even find it helpful when I tried it out. Never use Numerade, learn from the rest of us

On 31st March, I started my 7-day free trial on Numerade for my studies and saw on Numerade’s website that there were only 2 plans for renewal after a trial which will charge $3.99/month for Monthly Plan and $33.49 for Annual Plan. On 8th April, my free trial plan expired. This website automatically renewed my account without any notification about my chosen plan, so I’ve been charged $179, overcharged from the terms already mentioned. I did not receive any email from Numerade to be aware that I’ve registered for the 7-day free trial and did not receive any email about the plan I chose after automatically renewing. When I looked for this case on the Internet, I found out there were many people who have been through this scammers situation like me and did not receive any refund from Numerade. ***Updated: "We also see you signed up for our annual plan ($179.89 USD)" ---> When I registered for the trial plan, their terms did not mention $179.89 USD, this is what was said in their terms when I chose Annual Plan "Your $33.49 per year Numerade subscription begins after your 7-day trial (if applicable) and renews automatically. By completing your purchase, you agree to Numerade's Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy and consent to being automatically charged $33.49 per year (minus any discounts) to the payment method provided each year until you cancel." WHERE IS $179.89 USD????? IT'S NOT MENTIONED CLEARLY IN THEIR TERMS!!! "Once a user completes the signup, they are sent a welcome email to the one on file, which in this case was sent on March 31st" ---> Only welcome email without notification that I've registered 7-day free trial AND NO NOTIFICATION EMAIL INFORMED WHICH PLAN MY ACCOUNT WAS RENEWED!!! ---> THEY NOT MENTIONED ABOUT $179.98USD IN THEIR TERMS AND CHARGED US REGARDLESS!!!

WILL NOT TELL YOU THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. WILL HAPPILY LEAVE YOUR FAMILY OUT OF FOOD BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO ISSUE REFUNDS. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC OF A COMPANY, A TRUE REPRESENTATION OF GREEDY CAPITALISTIC CORPORATE VALUES, NOT EVEN WORTH 1 STAR. NUMERADE BURN IN H***

Intended to do a monthly subscription after the free trial and cancel when my classes were over, but to my surprise I am hit with a random 179 fee on my card. After looking at everyone elses reviews, I wish I took a second look at this service before trying to use it myself. A total scam.
