My company was previously Concur, a system 20 years old. They moved to Navan and now booking trips is easy and I don’t dread the going on trips for business.

Amazing product that made my travel experience seamless. Great with being able to personalise travel experience.

They saved my credit card details without my permission after booking a flight. Then they charged me an extra trip fee for a different flight that I never booked. While I did search for flights options for another flight, I decided against booking because the prices were much higher than if I booked directly with the airline. Never did I complete the booking, reach a booking confirmation page or receive a booking confirmation email in my inbox or spam box. I complained within 15 hours of having used Navan for the flight search and seeing the sudden trip fee appear. Of course told them that I never booked this trip! Navan said that I needed to pay the trip fee nonetheless. They could't produce a booking confirmation for this flight and they had no proof that I booked anything, only a supposed booking cancellation email. But even on the cancellation email they then sent me, it says that any trip fees are INCLUDED in the overal price of a booking and when cancelling within 24 hours you are entitled to a FULL REFUND. Since their customer service was utterly unhelpful, I have contacted my bank to dispute this charge and refund me this money.

In terms of OBT and technology, Navan is a step ahead of many other TMCs. Booking is very easy and the UX experience is pleasant. Anyone familiar with the most common online travel platforms can easily navigate and find what they are looking for. Low cost carriers are in most of the cases present, although there are some difficulties with Ryanair every now and then. The not-so-good side is mainly connected with Admin and Account support. Whenever something that goes beyond the capabilities of the platform is needed, there's a high chance that it'll take a long time to solve the case - if it ever gets solved. Eventually it's all about the type of usage and internal flexibility that the company has, to put up with any challenges that might come up in terms of accounting or integration.

my co-workers account was disabled by navan, reached to support - they said it was done by mistake and that they'll re-enable it right away. That didn't happen, reached out in several days, they asked to email them our company corporate docs. Emailed the docs, no reaction. Reached out in several days, they asked to email docs again and promised this will be escalated and someone will get back to me. After that i spoke to support 3 more times, every time they just asked me to wait and that someone will get back to me. 2 weeks and 5 conversations later - no messages from them, account is still disabled.

Navan (Trip Actions) was fine for business use, but don't book any personal travel with them. I booked a flight to have my partner join me on a trip I had for work. That trip unfortunately had to be canceled but I got the ticket price back as a credit (important). The credit can only be redeemed through Navan. Two months later I got laid off. Didn't think about that credit for several months until I wanted to use it. Navan was RADIO SILENT! I sent 5x emails with receipts, I looked for phone numbers, I couldn't get anyone to talk to me. That credit worth $900, gone!

They have terrible customer service. I was charged a booking fee twice (one for a cancelled trip) and another for the final trip. I was not aware as these fees were not mentioned at the time of booking. I found them a month later on my credit card statement. When I contacted them to request a refund as a one off courtesy, they point blank refused. Terrible service!
