First of all, I don’t understand why Monoprice won’t post bad reviews that are communicated respectfully and professionally. Why ask for feedback if you don’t want to learn from customers that are giving advice on how to be better? I purchased 3 monolith speakers from Monoprice. Based on the false reviews, I was led to believe the speakers were awesome and compared to other high end brands like B&W or Focal. Definitely not high end speakers. They sound very tinny and closed, meaning very poor soundstage. The company issued an RMA so I could return…that was good news! However, in their fine print on the return policy its states the customer MAY have to pay shipping. Really? What does that even mean. I learned it actually means the customer will ALWAYS have to pay return shipping. Contacting customer service, I asked if they would offer a store credit in equal value of the shipping cost which is close to $300. Nope, they simply point to their fine print that is not even clear. Monoprice used to make great audio gear and had world class service. Not anymore. Very disappointed!

So far I'm getting nowhere with…
So far I'm getting nowhere with monoprice customer service. The representative merely repeats information from the website and then when I wanted confirmation from a manager I was put on hold so she could ask. When I then wanted to speak to that manager they were conveniently in a meeting and apparently the question was put to them earlier by the representative. Not sure why I was on hold then.
Currently trying to organise an alternative shipping method which doesn't cost $600 on $500 worth of speakers. Does monoprice want my money?

Poor product quality, even worse refund policy
EDIT - after posting my review, a customer service escalation manager from monoprice contacted me. They quickly resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I have added stars to the review in recognition that Monoprice will do the right thing once the correct person gets involved.
Bought a 27” Zero G monitor that had the DisplayPort input go bad within 3 months. Monoprice replaced it under warranty, and the replacement had the same failure in about the same time. An identical replacement was no longer available, so Monoprice would only give store credit as compensation. I added $100 and purchased the next least expensive comparable monitor, which has also now had the DisplayPort go out within 3 months. Again, an identical replacement is not available, and Monoprice will only give me a store credit, so I would have to add another $100 to get a comparable monitor. The quality problems and return policy make this a never ending cycle designed to extract ever increasing amounts of money from me for hardware that is destined to fail well short of the warranty period. I will never buy from Monoprice again.

***UPDATE: PROBLEM RESOLVED*** - Received Damaged Product with Missing Parts; Customer Service Refusing to Replace or Refund; Emails ignored
UPDATE: After posting this review, Laura (customer service manager) promptly reached out to apologize and address this issue. She was extremely understanding of my experience and refunded me for the full amount while on the phone. In addition, she has offered to go above and beyond to look into the replacement parts (in the rare event that they are available). While the overall experience was quite frustrating, I am very satisfied with the support that Laura provided. Had I spoken to her initially, I know that this situation would have been rectified right away.
If you run into any issues with your Monoprice product, I would highly recommend discussing the issue with Laura and her team, as she will ensure it is handled in a prompt and professional manner.

I wasted $304.84 on a defective product and want a refund. I purchased the "Stage Right by Monoprice Studio Workstation with Dual 3U Rack Bays and 61-key Keyboard Controller Tray" 2 weeks ago (11/29/21). The box arrived broken with damage to the desk. It was also missing several parts (plastic adapters needed to hold triad rods in place, etc.). It's impossible to assemble the desk without these pieces. I contacted support to request replacement parts by mail, and was informed that they will not ship individual parts. Monoprice refused to provide details about the name or dimensions of this part.
The product is unusable and arrived defective, and I expected Monoprice to provide a full refund. Initially, customer support informed me that a refund was possible, but failed to disclose that they will only provide refunds or replacement if they receive the item back in perfect condition. The entire package arrived damaged. The original box is broken, and much of the original packaging was broken prior to arrival. Monoprice expects me to purchase replacement packaging and pay to return the item. This is a significant cost and burden, and Monoprice refuses to compensate me for these costs.
I requested a claim 2 weeks ago and followed up via email 5 times in 1 week; all of my emails have been ignored. A claim was never opened and I have not received any support. I tried to write a review of my experience on the product page, and Monoprice blocked my negative review and will not allow me to post another. The company actively monitors reviews and blocks any negative experiences. Customer support refused to comment on this matter.
I am very disappointed and frustrated by this experience. Monoprice should either refund me for the full cost or provide replacements for the missing parts; neither of which they are willing to do. They are ignoring my emails, refusing to open warranty claims, and removing my negative reviews from the product description. This is very misleading.

Inadequate customer service
I ordered 4 Stitch by Monoprice smart light switches for over $160 dollars and had an electrician install them. However, none of the switches connect to the internet. Monoprice's tech support was not particularly helpful. They just read the info in the instruction manual to me and then informed me that the items are defective (how can all four switches be defective). I was then told my only options are to return the light switches for a replacement or reimbursement. This would require hiring another electrician TWICE. Once to remove the defective switches and then again to install new ones. I'm shocked that they won't simply reimburse me for the faulty product without having to incur the expense uninstalling them OR send me replacements first so that I only have to hire an electrician once.

Webiste misleading, and flat out lies. Say item IN STOCK, when it is not carried in stock at all but have to get from suppliers after order before they can send out.
Made order 11/2/21, 2 DB25M/RJ-45, Modular Adapters, Site says "In Stock, ships in 3-5 days" Paid, got E-mail showing order. Do not hear from them, except for their ads that come in sometimes twice daily but I am ok with that as I opted in to get them. Then on 11/15/21, 13 days, or 9 business days later, still no information on order, so go on site, and see that it says payment received but nothing further had been done with the order. So I connect to the chat service, and as expected start by getting canned answers saying,
Please know that items on this order are shipped to us from our vendor, as they are not located in our distribution center. The product page for Item# 1158 states that it will ship in 3-5 business days from the date the order is placed. Your order confirmation email also shows the expected ship date which is 11/9/21. Unfortunately, the item is still unavailable and we currently do not have an estimated date of availability. Can I ask if you want to cancel the order instead?
First problem, if the item is shipped to you from your vender, that does not mean they are in stock. In stock means you have them on hand or in your distribution center available to ship immediately.
Second problem, the site says 3-5 days, not business days, but I understand that it is normal for it to mean business days. So if you are going to say that it states something, make sure it does.
Third problem, 3-5 business days would mean 11/9/21 shipment date. We are now at 9 business days and you have not even shipped it, let alone have to product to ship.
So I thank the person, using the name Jonchristian, for processing my cancelation, and advise him that my next comments are not directed at him, and say that it is ridiculous that I ordered and paid, and only ever received the order confirmation, not to mention the daily spam, and nothing else from them, even after the 11/9/21 supposed shipment date. At that time Jonchristian said
I understand and I am very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. However, please be also advised that the product page for Item# 1158 states that it will ship in 3-5 business days from the date the order is placed. We also advise contacting us back if you never received any update after the said processing time.
Next problem, I guess Jonchristian cannot tell that either the 11/9/21 ship date, nor that 3-5 business days had already passed.
Next problem, he then goes on to say they advices contacting them back if I never receive any updates after that time. What does he think I was doing at that moment, also if that is their policy why don’t they put that on page where you order it from. I gave it past the 11/9/21 ship date because even if they ship it on that day, it will not be to me for at least a few days. Next why is it my responsibility to contact them to find out if there was a delay, shouldn’t they contact me to let me know they did not have any in stock as the site said they did, and there was going to be a delay so that I can cancel my order and get my needed item elsewhere? So when I stated it was not unreasonable to expect to be contacted because there was a delay, I got,
Yes. As stated earlier, the expected ship date of the order is 11/9/21. It is advisable to contact us if you did not receive any update after the allotted period. However, I have now submitted the cancellation request for the order, and as stated, I will also check this with our proper department to avoid inconvenience like this moving forward.
Does Jonchristian still not know that 11/15/21 comes after 11/9/21. So then I ask to be taken off their mailing list, so I can stop receiving their junk mail, he says, and I kid you not,
Just for clarification, do you also want to unsubscribe from our newsletters?
So the only good I have to say is, good price on what I was looking for and shipping rates are realistic unlike other sites, also when I contacted them about my order, they offered a refund immediately. Still waiting for that, but that is the good.
So if you made it down this far, my advice is go somewhere else, but if not call and make sure that if you want to order from them you call and check to make sure in stock means in stock, or you may never get your order.

Monoprice is a misleading company
Monoprice is a misleading company. You buy items online and say they the following 30 day money back guarantee but they don't say that you have to pay for the shipping back along with the fact that you are liable for shipping. For a 90 dollar guitar its gonna cost 40 dollars to ship it. Misleading at a minimum.
