Great Transaction - Implement a Little Situational Awareness
Just finished a transaction that went smooth and by the numbers. Ordered on Thursday and had the hardware in hand by Monday morning. Good updates from Midway, UPS tracking was normal, and the goods were in great condition. I was a little nervous that recent reviews of Midway were so negative here, and on the BBB site. After assessing the posts that were made, the reviews fell into two broad categories. The first group were customers returning items well past the return period. The second category stemmed from delivery problems with USPS. Both issues are easily addressed by the following actions: Open the package when you get it and inspect the contents. Don't be that guy who gets buyers remorse 6-12mo later and expects a return. Don't trust USPS - spend a little more and get a UPS shipment option. USPS has degenerated to a point that it is functionally useless. Commonly packages enter limbo land, no matter who the sender is - and if I send a letter to my neighbor, it will travel over 250 miles to a central processing center and back in anywhere from 4 to 25 days.
