I ordered a standard car service at Midas South Melbourne, which is advertised on Midas company website (fr $199). But when I picked up my car, I was told to pay more than double. When asked, they told me my car needs high quality engine oil which they charged me $173.83 (GST excl). But they said nothing or consulted me about the oil when I dropped my car. They also charge 'Waste management fee", " Sundry workshop suppliers' which I think should be included as part of the standard service fee advertised. Also, there is not even a sticker left for oil change date or a reminder and no logbook stamp as stated on my invoice. This made me unsure if my car was serviced or not. Anyway, a very disappointing experience. I urge other customers to be careful about what you paid and what you got.

I towed my car to Midas because they said, they new how to fix Toyota Prius but they couldn't fix it, so I had to get it towed again. I spent $200 on tows that day. Midas can't fix Toyota Prius and they owe me $100 for one tow. They lied to me

On January 5th had tires put on my car.when I got to Midas in Carmel on Friday to have my tires put on I was told they did not have me scheduled.I had talked to Steve the manager the day before.He said he would put me on the schedule for 1pm on Friday.They went ahead and did my service.Did a great job.while I was waiting I Scheduled a oil change on my other car for the following Thursday.I told I believe the gentlemens name was Ed to make sure me I was on the Schedule for my oil change because of the mix up on the scheduling of having my tires put on.He assured me I was on the schedule the following Thursday.So I show up today January the 11th at 830 to get my oil change.I was told by Steve the manger I was not on the schedule until the 18th.I told him I was assured I was on the schedule he replied I can get you but it will be awhile and I would have to wait to But I already had a another appointment scheduled for something else so I couldn't wait.I am very disappointed because I had to get my oil changed because I was getting ready to go on a trip.I really trusted Midas and Steve and Ed in Carmel.I have gone to them several times in the past.I feel like they should have been able to get me right in.They sure were able to worked me in the Friday before when I spent almost $800 but now I was only going to spend ,$50 I was going to sit and wait.I guess I am really upset because I thought I had found a place that cared and I trusted.Dont mean to complain but my time is valuable to.Plus it cost me $. I went to the Hobart, IN Midas shop today for warranty work on brakes I had serviced at another Midas. The people were extremely helpful and went of their way to give me excellent service. While there, I had my oil changed and my driver's side window serviced. I could not be more pleased with the service I received. So, thank you Angelina, Peter and Buddy for making this a pleasant experience.

Not to be trusted. Every time you go there, they'll tell you something new that needs fixing. I fell for the okeydoke once, I'm pretty sure, when I let them convince me (during a tire rotation) that I had a bad tie rod. Lo and behold, they called me during THAT REPAIR to claim that the bolts were frozen on my front axles, which would require replacing them, too. By then, these guys were digging deep into our pockets, and my bu***hit alarm dinged . . . but I'm an easy going guy who likes to give folks the benefit of the doubt. The last straw was when I went in for an oil change last week, and they told me I had a transmission leak they'd fix for $500. I took the vehicle to Tanner's (an honest shop), and they told me not only did I not have a transmission leak, the axle seal THAT MIDAS INSTALLED THREE WEEKS AGO was leaking. Now I know the deal. I've been waiting an entire day for them to fix the seal; but it's time to let others know. These people are dishonest. Do not use them for anything. Tanner's has a bigger backlog, but they don't lie or steal. Make your appointments with them.

Just finished seeing ripped off by midas again trying to get my breaks fixed for the 3rd time this time after 7000k told it would cost me another 1000.00 after paying 3000.00 3 times for the same problem they charged me 500.00 this time to tell me they don't know what the problem is again and fix nothing.

Midas Hove.. gebeld om afspraak te maken. Afgesproken om op 28/12 de auto binnen te brengen en hersteld op te halen op vrijdag 29/12. Bevestigd via mail. Helaas hadden ze ondertussen zoveel andere afspraken ingepland, dat ik er op vrijdag niet meer tussen kon en ze me gewoon naar huis stuurden toen ik er donderdag stond. Offerte blijkt ook zomaar 110 euro duurder te zijn dan bij een erkende garage. Aan mij hebben ze dus geen nieuwe klant binnengehaald, wat een slechte service!

I just left my local Midas store after the salesman told me that the oil change for my vehicle was 90 dollars even though i had a midas coupon for 59.99. i was told that the reason was the filter and tax. What a piece of work. never waste your time going to Midas. Bait and switch. Disgusted with the service. A total rip off. Stay away.
