They changed their pricing structure without letting people know. Now i had to pay $69 to reactiviate my account, then i had to pay another $108 right after to upgrade my plan to simply access my old scans, and have even less spaces available. Absolutely unacceptable. Horrible. If i could give 0 stars i would. This company is greedy and worse.

The technology is fine and works smoothly, the business that sells it, however, is the reason I have given one star. 1) the hosting is overpriced 2) they don't allow you to reduce the size of your account even if you have no tours in there 3) they have recently discontinued the only affordable tier (starter) leaving only the exorbitantly expensive tiers available meaning long standing clients are trapped in pricing structures they cannot afford Anyone looking to explore this technology you should definitely look elsewhere as 1) there are many better and more affordable alternatives 2) upcoming scanning tech is going to make matterport totally obsolete (they will go out of business)

I needed to scan an apartment, single one, no need for any other pro plans with 10 hosting options.. so the STARTER pack seemed like pretty nice option actually, you know, you can scan with the 360 cams through the phone, then you can share it, after I have scanned the apartment I just found out that the starter plan has been completely removed! Quite literally the day before my scan...And the cheapest option is 90 EUROs per month. Thanks but this is a big no!

I have been using matterport for one year now to create scans for businesses in my local area. During that time they had discounted the pro 2 camera, which i purchased, only to then discontinue it. They then dropped the pro 3 price by half and made their entire business about that, meaning clients prefer the pro 3 over the pro 2. Today, 8th October, they have just doubled the cost of subscriptions from roughly £60pm to £120pm. This has priced me out overnight of getting clients. I cant double my monthly hosting fees cost structure for tours of businesses, so therefore its no longer a business. Do not trust this company. Always changing the goal posts and pricing structures, pricing for kit is always up and down, they are really a most untrustworthy company. Abhorrent behaviour, i will be using other 3d scanning software from now on.

As one of our company’s “scanners”, I have had many occasions where I’ve needed help to correct a scan or a model. Every single time that I have reached out to Matterport Support, an always pleasant support member, would assure me that all would be good. And, it always is. The level of professionalism and care is unmatched. I would rank Matterport’s Support staff higher than any other strong customer service unit. Hands down the best technical support experiences ever! Thank you Matterport for exceptional service!

I spent more than 7 hours trying to fix an issue where none of my Matterport spaces would load from my account—even though they worked fine on other PCs and tablets. The fix was just setting my computer’s clock to update automatically and match my time zone. Matterport’s support team solved it in under 10 minutes! I build on the Matterport Bundle SDK for programmatic camera control and headless capture. On a recent case the support engineer was responsive, tested my claims rather than pattern-matching, and corrected himself when the docs and his first answer disagreed (Camera.getPose is deprecated; Camera.pose is current, Euler degrees in three.js YXZ order). That is better than most vendor support I deal with. The constructive part: the SDK documentation is thin on exactly the things an embedder needs — rotation conventions and the yaw zero reference are undocumented, and the npm web component lags the zip bundle by a release. Support has flagged both internally. If those land in the docs, this is a 5 across the board.
