Upon leaving work I realized there might be a problem picking up my items due to the weather. I called both published numbers 13x and requested a callback. Phones stopped picking up 6pm. I also emailed customer service. I paid for a "hold" on each item as I didn't know. what else to do. This morning I tried calling several times and requested a "call back". When the return call came I requested a refund for the fees as the weather was out of my control. A day later this hill has not been salted. I was told no as it was not declared " a state of emergency " I will not be bidding on anything any time soon. I spend too much money and suck up the money on all flaws and working items

My first auction I won was a sweeper listed as an open box. I was told by a friend they resell open box items. The sweeper I won was covered in dirt, loaded with scratch marks on the front like it was dropped a dozen times and smelled, not to mention the load of hair wrapped around the bristles. I have 2 sweepers at home now that are both over 10 years old that are in better shape. You're basically buying discarded crap. I tossed the sweeper in the garbage and cancelled my account. It's a poor mans ebay. Buyer beware.

I purchased what was supposed to be an exercise trampoline. What I got was box 1 of a BBQ Grill. Of course Mac.bid would not refund any of my cost. Be very careful when you pick up your order.

Very disappointed! Most items listed are listed as "Open Box" and their pics only show the box. I won 7 supposed "open box" items and 3 have major problems. The Weber grill is missing the grates which are expensive to replace. The walker has a major crack in the carbon fiber frame, and the the baby bassinet was badly stained from use. You cannot return anything even if it's their fault unless you pay for their ripoff "assurance". That runs about $10 for each item. Why are they charging a fee to be able to return their misdescribed crap? And don't get me started on their $3 per item lot fee. Why is there a lot fee on top of the 15% auction premium? Especially when you have to go into their warehouse and search for and pull your own items? There are a bunch of other fees that I won't get into but it's clear this company counts on these fees to make their profit and is not customer friendly.

You have to approach this process as though all items you bid on are irregular,, damaged, unworkable, and/or overly used and then find a way to make them work for your purposes. MAC BID is very bad at listing items damaged or broken and there’s a reason and it’s not because they don’t open boxes. Some items have been brought back several times so they know there’s a problem. They don’t want you to know. They want to sell the insurance because it may be an even better business than the items on which you bid. Remember the old adage “you get what you pay for”. The instant bId process sounds even worse. You get to overpay right away. The last complaint I have is it often feels like you’re bidding against their algorithm which forces you to pay what THEY want to get for an item. THAT STUFF ABOUT getting something for a dollar is a misnomer. You’ll never pay just a buck though you may win a bid for a dollar. Tack on the fees and the item may even be a dud, so You’re left with a useless item and your wallet is $4.45 lighter. Good luck. I’m done with MAC BID. Nice try.

Bought a few things and none were "like new" as described. BUYER BEWARE! WON'T BE BACK.

Bid and won three things. Pizza oven was used heavily. There was pizza sauce and mold all over the unit. 3d printer was used and pieces bent. Both unusable. The whole process is not good.
