This company has absolutely terrible delivery service. I placed a large order for multiple pieces of furniture in late July with a scheduled delivery in early September. They indicated that all items would be available on the delivery date. One day prior to my delivery they call to inform that a 3 items would not be delivered and provided no update on expected delivery date. When the truck arrived the next day, they were missing two additional items including part of a bedframe. They left the bedframe unassembled due to the missing footboard but marked the delivery as complete. When I called Living Spaces to inquire, they didn't realize the piece wasn't delivered and informed me that it would take another 4 weeks to get the footboard delivered. Meanwhile, the other 4 pieces that weren't delivered were pushed out between 2-6 weeks. This is terrible customer service and I won't ever be shopping at Living Spaces again.

Buyer Beware. I purchased a sectional and was talked into purchasing the extended warranty for the main reason being the extra $400-$500 | spent for it I would receive a credit for that amount at Living Spaces if no warranty claim was made. So apparently an email was sent to my wife and with the large volume of emails she gets it was overlooked. I think they need to change their policy like Gift Cards that don't expire. Seems convenient for them and not sure how the email was labeled or if it was even sent.

I ordered a sofa on July 29, after first seeing it in the store. The store employees told me that the sofa was in stock and available to order. It was also marked as “in stock” on the website. My delivery was scheduled for September 18. On September 18, I received a message saying that my order would be delivered on September 22. Then, on September 20, I received a notification saying that some part of the sofa was delayed and that I would have to wait another 14 days. Customer support then blatantly lied to me, saying that the sofa had not been in stock when I ordered it and that this was the reason for the delay. This is an absurd way to treat customers. I don’t understand why you would say the sofa is in stock if it isn’t. This is the first and last time I will order anything from this chain.

Bought a $3,800 recliner sectional sofa 1 year ago with the Care Free plan. I filed a claim because the recliners wont go up straight and the cushions have broken down so much you roll off the couch and the cushions get stuck in the recliner because they are so thin. I filed a claim and uploaded pictures to Care Free plan. When I didn't hear from them, I called only to be told they closed the case for no reason. They said if I cancel the warranty, the store will refund the sofa. I said I would be stupid to cancel the warranty plan until I got a refund even though she said, "I guarantee they will refund your money". I filed another claim. When the tech came out, he twisted and bent the recliner mechanisms worse than before. He finally said he had to order parts and would come back. He turned over the cushions so now you fall back into the couch. Weeks went by again, and when I called, they said they won't be doing anything because its normal wear and tear.... even the damage their tech caused. Care Free is in the Philippines. When I asked for someone in the US, I was told they do not have anyone in the USA. I went to the store and they suggested I call Corporate knowing you can't call any stores, even the Corporate Office. When you call, their customer service center is in Guadalajara. The only thing in US is the stores themselves. Once they take your money, they wash their hands of you and offer NO assistance with issues or the worthless Care Free Plan you purchase. DO NOT BUY FROM LIVING SPACES!!!!!

I purchased a recliner chair for an upcoming shoulder surgery. Received the recliner in pieces, missing screw on the base, luckly it was in the box - if the screw wasn't seen it would probably would have been missed, could have been an issue later on. There were no instructions on how to put together, electric recliner. Called customer service on Friday, September 18th - instructions are not on-line and the warehouse will need to email me. Customer Service stated 24 hours. Don't know if that includes weekends. Since they provided a non-assembled delivery seems like they could print out the instructions and include with the delivery. Also, the smell of the chair is horrible - I was told this is a characteristic. It will hopefully dissipate in 72 hours. It sent my Dyson fan into a Poor VOC scale state - outside was Good - opened all windows and ran all-house fan. Still in the NOT good state. Covered the chair with plastic and house air is back to good - what the heck are they using for processing the material on their furniture? Per Google it states to put in an open area for off-gassing - like a garage. Since I am having shoulder surgery moving a 100 pound chair to my garage is not possible. Will not be buying furniture from these follks in the future. And if anyone asks I would not recommend.

⭐ 1 STAR — Apparently the Screws Cost Extra I spent almost $2,000 on a chair. The chair arrived. The screws did not. You’d think this would be a pretty simple customer-service problem. “Oh no! We forgot the screws. We’ll send them right out.” That would apparently be FAR too easy. First I tried chat. Useless. Then I called and got transferred not once, not twice, but FIVE TIMES. By the fifth person, after repeatedly being put on hold, I was informed that I now need to upload MULTIPLE PHOTOS before they can send me the missing screws. I’m sorry… photos of WHAT? Would you like me to photograph the invisible screws? Perhaps arrange the empty space where they should have been under good lighting? Should I hold today’s newspaper next to the chair so you know the screws are still missing? 😂 I’m not asking for a new $2,000 chair. I’m not asking for a refund. I’m asking for THE SCREWS YOU FORGOT TO PUT IN THE BOX. At this price point, I expected a premium chair and decent customer service. Apparently I purchased a very expensive DIY scavenger hunt instead. Five transfers, countless minutes on hold, and now a photo shoot just to prove that something I DIDN’T RECEIVE wasn’t received. Absolutely ridiculous. Just. Send. The. Screws.

After sales warranty issues, furniture was delivered and set up by livingspaces, we have issues with pieces of furniture not being secure. Have fixed claim, talked with store sales manager, sent out multiple emails after two months still no response...

The Ansel Power Recliner I purchased for $550 has a severe defect - it flips over forward when fully reclined. The first time it dumped me on the floor was 3 hours after I came home from the hospital after surgery. This chair is designed and manufactured by Living Spaces and they do not stand behind their work at all. Let the buyer beware of ANY Living Spaces product. This is what a Google search reported on Sept 4 2026: The Living Spaces Ansel Power Recliner suffers from a known safety hazard where its front-heavy balance fulcrum can cause the chair to spontaneously flip forward while fully reclined. Because this defect can cause sudden falls and physical injury, addressing it immediately is a safety priority. The local store sales person and the delivery were pleasant and did their jobs, but the Headquarters 'Executive Team' is totally unprofessional, unbusiness-like and completely dismissive of customers. I suspect that they are all bots. Customer Service told me that they were only responsible for manufacturing flaws but not the design flaws, and that there was no one at the company who would talk to me. I mailed a formal complaint letter certified but got no response after a month. 3 days after filing a negative Better Business Bureau review, I got an email. They actually told me that "they did not receive physical letters" but later revised it to only receiving and reading communications that were mailed to the 'right address'. Since the address I used is the one that is listed on their license and in Google, I asked what the correct address was and was ignored. Headquarters personnel do not give you their name, a phone number or even a real email address. Everything is hidden. They are masters of delay and after 2 months are still telling me that I have to accept their damage claim process as the only way to handle this problem. The 'certified technician' that was supposed to do the 'inspection' of the chair is a subcontractor of a contractor not connected with Living Spaces. Appts are made weeks out with all day time frames and then the tech never shows up. None of these people can be trusted to do what they say they do. I just want this defective chair out of my house and my money back. They cared about the Better Business Bureau complaint but know how to weasle out of it. Filing a complaint with the CA Dept of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Household Goods and Services to see if they care about that.
