This company has gone to the toilet... The wait times have become longer and longer on CEs despite gaining more IPs and income with each release. Over the past few months, they have done some shady stuff. Joe had a "limited run" on his game (revenge of the bird king) separate from limited run, even having metal jesus rocks claiming its the rarest ps4 physical game. This was just a promo to get people to buy a 1 cent game physically for much more at a convention. There was also the Astro Mini situation where they said all the games were translated to English, then deleted the tweet a day before it launches because it was just the box translated to English and for much more than amazon japan. Worse, they had decided to publish the remaster sam and max save the world. No big deal right? Well, this version had some jokes cut out and a VA replaced causing cries of censorship. When it was brought up via a bounding into comics article in the discord, one of the users caused the conversation to get political and tried to bring gamergate (a movement where a dev was sleeping with a journalist and used her ex to get the news media on her side, then it was exposed and now the media is still recovering (or dying) from the aftermath with devs and political driven people still trying to use it as a hate group despite a lack of evidence to prove this) into the conversation by attacking the website. Instead of stopping her or calming the conversation down, the mods did nothing (with one agreeing and adding more to the gamergate fire) and LimitedRunJosh moved on to defending the censorship with such hidden gems like "Y'all realize how many jokes are in Sam & Max right?", "complaining about four or five jokes being changed in a game that has literally thousands of jokes, is a whole new level", and "no one ever finished the original version and said, man that joke about the hot fifteen-year-old was so memorable that I hope it never gets changed". I have screenshots of this entire event, and these quotes came directly from the discord conversation as it was happening. This is a company that doesn't give a crap about you. They don't address the problem at hand and try making excuses for it. Back that with customer service that is rude and disrespectful, and I'm not shocked LimitedRunJosh would say something so hypocritical (since the point of Limited Run games is perseveration and censorship is everything that goes against). I left the discord, and will never purchase anything from this company again. Your company had multiple chances to actually stop the situation from happening, yet Josh and his mods didn't and defended the thing they were complaining to be fighting against. Majorly disappointed in this company.

Only reason they continue to exist are the exclusive physical games they sell. Orders are placed without knowing how long it will take for delivery and when you ask for information you are insulted by their community managers in Facebook.

I know LRG gets a bum wrap but that is because it is a site for collectors and collectors are very particular. Also noticed buyers on LRG are very impatient. LRG offer rare physical game purchases and if it weren’t for them many of the people complaining wouldn’t even get the chance to buy their stuff...they are legit also

I placed an order for a few in-house items. After 2 weeks of no word I emailed asking for an update. The employee at the other end replied with a cut-paste response that either didn’t answer my questions, or denied them entirely. After doing some digging through their faq, i found answers that contradicted what this employee said. I gave them one star because they offer a decent product, but their customer support and shipping procedures are some of the worst I have ever encountered. If you reach out to the company, expect infuriatingly patronizing responses.

I do like that they provide physical copies for games that otherwise would not get a physical release. That being said, their estimated times are way off. I understand some of it is due to COVID but I see more and more games being posted up for pre-order when there are many that still need to be finished first. When I ordered things last year I was given the estimate of "2 to 4 months" once the pre-order window closed. In all cases this was an inaccurate estimate. Some things preordered from 3rd quarter last year I still have not received. In my experience it takes 6+ months to get your order. Once you do get your order it's nice stuff, but they need to do better at communicating what is going on with delays and e-mail out more frequent updates with games that are not yet done.

This company is absolute garbage. They survive because video game companies creating fun, worthwhile games do not publish their own physical runs. Otherwise, they'd be long gone by now. An absolute joke of a company. I literally buy from them ONLY because no competitor can snipe their business. Very poor customer service and absolutely atrocious business acumen. WHAT A JOKE.

It is very simple, their business model stinks, these people are creating scarcity in an artificial way, they are benefiting scalpers/resellers and NOT gamers. It is a shame because they got some nice releases but no one in their right mind would spend 200$ on cartridge or a cd game! Please change that and give gamers what they want, make new releases, I doubt those who already got the game will care, the overwhelming majority will be happy, please!

A somewhat brutally fair company. Yes, we all hate waiting months, or heck, if you waited for Celeste, over a year, for the game to arrive, but they are very fair and transparent. When they announced the BB partnership, they let us cancel some preorders for Golf Story which had been retroactively added to the BB catalog. I wish they would post the BB notice sooner, because it sucks to order a game only to see it at BB later because they technically posted about it towards the end if the order period, so I usually have to wait until the last few hours to see if something will be at BB sometimes. I also wish they would just overestimate the time frame for their games so people would stop crying about it (especially the new buyers), because face it, it's gonna take forever, if you wanted it now, you should just order it digital. I do like that they will communicate via twitter and their newsletter if you sign up for that. I haven't had experience with bad shipments or shipment related issues, so I cannot speak for certain on that matter, because I've been fortunate, but I read up on people's complaints and issues, and I do know they will usually get to the matter eventually. If it's a broken or damaged copy of the game, they will replace it, and if it's lost, they will eventually replace it, after exhausting all options, because they're not your Amazon or Target or Best Buy, who would send replacements almost immediately. They're sort of a small company, they don't even have a store yet (but there are talks for one eventually), so they make their profits on a thin margin I imagine (except for Scott Pilgrim, they made bank on that). They have delays, usually for valid reasons like quality control or wanting to have a better product, but I can see an attempt at trying. I'm just glad whatever games I've ordered from them that ended up going to BB came way before BB. If they announce it for BB, I just go with BB for the free shipping, and LRG if I really like the cover they picked. Keep in mind, if you order several things, they wait until everything is ready to ship to save costs (those penny pinchers). Expect to get your stuff eventually, and keep on top of those address changes. Customer service is kind of a ticket system, and they will deliver on what they promised, but don't expect them to go above and beyond. I didn't give them 5 only because the complaints on the wait are fair, it's true I've had to wait extra most of the time, and they won't be like Amazon or Target and give me a $5 gift card (boo-hoo), but they are a small company, and you're only here because you're probably buying small-time indie games despite the ultra convenience of digital only that sell waaaaaay less than these collector's items (fingers cross they'll release doom eternal and stick of truth for switch physically, cough cough; now if this were Special Reserve Games, or Super Rare Games, I would give them a 5, because Special Reserve's products are so premium it's crazy, and they sometimes give you a digital code to shut you up (but I imagine it's because you do pay premium), and their customer service is 5 star from my personal experience when it comes to replacements, while Super Rare ships almost immediately just because they don't do open pre-order, which thankfully LRG does do that so we don't have to fight bots). LRGs is a brutally fair company; the reality is you have to wait, and that truth is brutal, ooooof.
