As someone with a small head I have a hard time finding a baseball style cap that fits until I saw liftdown offers a size small vs just a one size fits “all”. I love the hats I ordered. I had a small quality issue with one hat, the seam was a bit off. I sent a picture to the company andbtgey sent a replacement right away. Very impressed with the quick response and taking care of the issue immediately. I will definitely recommend this brand to friends!

Excellent customer service, but I can’t recommend the product
There’s a huge gap between the instagram ads and the reality. The product arrived in just a bag, the material isn’t particularly nice to touch and very thin. The fit isn’t as smooth as it should be. I’ve bought the medium and it still had excess bumpy material… and I don’t have a small head!
On the plus side, Marielle from lift down reached out and helped with a refund - great customer service very friendly… but I’m sorry I can’t recommend the product.
I can only assume that worldwide orders are fulfilled by a different manufacturer - else I can’t explain why so many other reviews are raving about them.

Thank you for the honest write up, and I'm glad Marielle got the refund sorted quickly.
On the bag, you're right, and we've already made the change. Earlier this week we moved to boxes only. It costs us about 50% more to deliver your orders that way, and we've kept shipping charges to the UK, Europe and Australia exactly where they were.
On your note about multiple manufacturers, we only use one manufacturer for the Classic Cap, and every customer worldwide gets the exact same cap. Yours just shipped from our warehouse in China rather than the US. That is what keeps your shipping at $7 instead of the roughly $30 it would cost to send from the States. Same cap either way.
On fit, the Classic Cap is unstructured with no buckram, so it sits softer and less rigid than a structured cap. We make three sizes, Small, Regular and XL. If Regular left extra material sitting up top on you, Small is very likely the one you wanted. I'd be glad to send you one at no cost if you're open to trying again, just let our support team know [email protected]

Excellent service
I chose Lift Down somewhat randomly from a web search for hats for men with big squashes. I liked the designs and the lack of logos on the front, so I bought one and liked it. I bought two more but mistakenly sent them to the wrong address. Well, to say customer service was excellent would be an understatement. They were wonderful! As long as I keep wearing (and loosing) caps I will be buying from them.

Premium pricing for the product shipped directly from factory
Found this cap company through instagram - popped up in my ads section, currency was in US dollars . So was assuming they have a store based in the states or something but nope that doesn’t exist. Nothing wrong with the caps, looks okay . just the caps took 2 weeks to get delivered to aus from china without a box just wrapped in a plastic bag. Was excited about the caps but the packaging was really disappointing compared to the price point you’d get and similar styles from alibaba that’s also manufactured in china for a fraction of the price. So yeah in reality paying premium pricing for online instagram marketing .

Sorry about the packaging. That's fair, and we're in the middle of moving non-US orders over to proper boxes while trying to do it without pushing up the $7 shipping cost.
On origin: Lift Down is a US company based in New York, and the Classic Cap is our own design. We manufacture overseas like nearly every hat brand, and we fulfill international orders through a partner in China. That's what lets us offer shipping roughly 75% cheaper than shipping from the US, and it's what makes it possible for us to serve customers in Australia at all. Our US and international customers receive the exact same product, it's just stored in a different fulfillment center.
On the comparison: these aren't blanks pulled off a catalog. The Classic Cap is our own pattern, made in three real head sizes rather than one adjustable fit, which is the reason the brand exists in the first place.
Two weeks to Australia is longer than we'd like. We'd like to make this right, and our team will be in touch.

Wanted to find a cap that fitted my…
Wanted to find a cap that fitted my head with NO LOGO! Found Lift Down online and checked them out. They have a great way of fitting caps that gets it right the first time. My size was right at the top of small, so i asked their team what they thought what size i should order,small or Medium. Got back to me right away and said go with the Medium. Ordered my cap and when it came it fit just right straight out of the box, no joke! The color is just as advertised. Worth every penny.

Finally a hat that fits my little head!
I was skeptical because this company was advertised through instagram but I have had a great experience and the hats actually fit my head! I’ve had the hardest time finding the right size hat because I have a small head and a very short haircut. These are the first hats to actually fit my head! I had a small issue with my order but the customer service team was great and fixed things right away!

I ordered 2 small caps to try them out. One two-tone and one solid. They're amazing! I've always struggled to find hats that actually fit. (I found one company that makes smaller hats, but they're all structured.) These are soft and comfy - unstructured.
Now I have to control myself *not* to buy one in every color!
