Unfortunately the product I received was not as expected however LiftDown’s customer service was wonderful and very easy to work with to correct the issue. I really appreciate the great support I received from their support team and would recommend the company.

I was so upset the small adult hat didn’t fit me- it really fit my 4 year old daughter well so I’m convinced it’s a kid size hat. They staff were awesome and sent me another for free in the regular size which of course was too big. I really thought these hats were advertised as a little smaller than normal adult hats not a lotttt smaller so I was disappointed again. The time they took with me is why they get 4 stars, we both really wanted me to find the perfect hat.

Edit: Updating my two star review to a 3.5-4, so rounding up to 4. The company reached out to me after writing this review and offered to send me a free replacement hat, which I appreciate. As I mentioned below, I did like the Navy hat I received, so given they agreed to rectify my complaint, I swapped the Bluestone Green hate for one in Amber Orange, and also bought one in Honeycomb and Ocean Blue as well. Now that they've arrived and I have a few, i'll give my updated two cents. Overall verdict: I think the product photographer should get a raise for lighting and contrast. The hat colors don't seem deliberately misleading, but they're not quite as deep/vibrant as the product photos. I'll keep the ones I have now and wear them, but I still want to give an honest updated on color accuracy for each color: 1) Navy: as advertised, definitely the most true to photos. I like it! 2) Bluestone green: It's grey, with maybe a hint of green in it in the right, bright light. Would not say it's true to photos. The fit and material are nice, though. 3) Amber Orange: I will definitely wear it, but the orange color isn't quite as vibrant/deep as the colors in the photos. The photos aren't "wrong," but the product lighting is pulling its weight. In real life, it's a lighter and a bit more muted orange color. I'll still wear it though. 4) Ocean blue: Similar enough to the photos, but also less vibrant than the product photos. Will still wear it, think it'll be nicer once it worn in and faded a little. 5) Honeycomb: bit lighter color, less vibrant in person than the product photos. BTW, I have three monitors and an iphone and I would say these assessments apply to all. ------------------------------------------------------------ My previous review about the Bluestone green hat Hat color not as advertised Bluestone “Green” hat was not as advertised. It’s just a grey, not green like shown. I contacted customer service within the return date and they initially agreed to the return, though I would have a pay a shipping fee, but I had a family medical emergency (dad had a stroke) and went a week or so beyond the one month return policy and they would no longer accept my return. So I admit I ultimately missed the return date, but I had contracted them within the allowable period. And even so, the product was not as advertised and I would have expected to get my money back simply based on that. If I were returning based on just a change of mind, I wouldn’t mind at all. That said, the navy version I got was what I expected and I like it. So buy with caution. Colors are not always as-advertised.

This is not going to be your usual type of review. I first ordered a Lift Down cap several months ago. The quality of this product is better than any cap I’ve ever owned. I particularly liked the extra large size, and the way it fit on my head. For this alone I give them 5-Stars for product quality. My cap arrived in a reasonable amount of time, however it was a few days beyond the advertised delivery time. More recently I ordered another cap when I saw a promotion for a new color that I really liked. The order again shipped in a reasonable amount of time, however, using the 3rd Party Shipper “GOFO” my shipment fell into a “Black Hole” and was delayed excessively. I contacted GOFO several times to confirm my address and they said they were holding the package because the address could not be found. I confirmed my address and provided a secondary shipping location, and in both cases, after several more days, their website said the package has been delayed because they could not locate either address. Both addresses have had deliveries made by all the usual carriers regularly. I want to say that Marielle at Lift Down was very apologetic and continued working with me to get my order delivered. After over a month of back and forth with GOFO, Marielle finally sent me a new order using a reputable carrier which arrived in just a few days. If you want a high quality cap, Lift Down is definitely the best. If you want the cap delivered in a reasonable amount of time, you might want to call Marielle directly and request shipping by one of the Big 5 carriers and not GOFO.

I needed a cotton hat that's bigger than average. I have a huge head like a beachball, so hats don't usually fit great. Other companies say they will fit a larger head, but only by adjusting the band while the dome sits on top looking like a beanie. The Lift Down hat was not only comfortable and looked good, but the fit is really nice. So if you have a giant melon like me, Lift Down might be able to give you what you need.

I ordered 3 hats of the same size. I received 2 hats of one size, labeled ''made in china'' and a 3rd one labeled ''Liftdown'' which was a lot bigger. They arrived poorly packaged and smelling of chicken soup (think Vitamin B smell). Not great, considering the price. Edit: after complaining directly to the company, I received a refund for the oversized hat (because it only came in that size) -they also offered me the option to get another colour. As for the two other hats, since I liked the fit but not the smell, the company is sending me another pair at no cost! Thanks Yousef!

Shipping was fast. The hat arrived in a normal box but when I opened it the hat was as flat as a pancake. I know this is an “unstructured” hat but it looks like a cabby hat when I put it on. Nothing like the images on the website. Update: I returned the hat and they shipped me a replacement at no charge to me. Customer service is excellent. Although my experience wasn’t great I will consider them in the future for another hat.

The website seemed to have a good description of the product which helped me make a decision to go with Lift Down. The hat I purchased was as described and well made and very comfortable, good fit also. Only reason for a 4 star instead of 5 was the web site was wonky when trying to follow up to find a delivery date. I couldn't even log in to an account. I used Customer Support feature which DID work and got a response the next day. Following day I got my hat.
