It is better to get an alert before you need it as I did. Had to learn the hard way. Do not wait to get this. It is comfort not only for you but for your loved ones. This is ok to shower with and where do you need it the most? Bathroom of coarse, as that is where a lot of people fall. And this one has the speaker in the thing-a-ma-gig around your neck or wrist so it is right there to talk when ever needed so your are not yelling to another room to talk with someone. What more can I say> Go for it!

My dad thinks he can find something cheaper but when we check it out this is the cheapest unit. We have been very pleased with the service. I like that they contact me if his life alert goes off. He usually just accidentally hits it but glad you all are on top of it. Thanks

While I have no problems with the service, the promise that you can "terminate at any time" is incredibly misleading. What they really mean is that you can cancel the service but they won't refund anything that you paid in advance. My family member had used the service for over a year. I renewed her service for a second year, not knowing that two months later she would be cognitively unable to even understand what the wrist device was for let alone have the wherewithal to use it. When I attempted to receive at least a partial refund I was told that wasn't possible. I persevered and eventually did recover some of the money but it was an extremely difficult process during an already amazingly difficult time in my love one's life.

only used it twice and worked well both times. Even if it not used, the peace of mind knowing it is there is worth the price.

Life station is excellent to wear.. and have... my boyfriend never had to use his in an emergency yet... but we test it every month and the operator on the other end is always there and ready and willing to help my boyfriend !! that in itself means a lot... response time is less than 20 seconds,,, liked it so much that i bought one for my father too !!

Have only had to actually use it for a medical emergency once and it moved like a charm. Good to know it is there should I need it!
