LensCraftersReviews of lenscrafters.com

I went to LensCrafters at Oxmoor mall in Louisville Ky. I’ve been a loyal customer for decades. I walked in, Ms. Carol greeted me with a smile and such courtesy. I explained my concern and she resolved my issue without hesitation. I was in and out. Happy customer.

I ordered and paid for a pair of glasses on July eighth from the Boulder Colorado LensCrafters. On July 15th I attempted to call the store to see if my glasses had come in. There was no answer. I tried several more times to reach the store by phone and there was never an answer. Towards the end of the day I contacted another LensCrafters and explained that I couldn’t reach anyone at the Boulder location. A very nice person there said they would reach out to the Boulder store and have them get in touch with me. I never heard anything back. On July 16th I attempted to contact the store and had the same results. No answer. I asked others to call the store and see if they could get any answers with the same result. On July 17th I received a text message saying my glasses were in. We arrived at the location and Christian began to help us. I told him I was concerned that their phones may not be working. He said they were fine. I explained that we had tried to contact the store and he explained that they were short staffed. I asked where one of their regular employees was and he said they were not with them any more. He explained it was LensCrafters choice to part ways with him. I was surprised that he shared that employees employment decision with me. I expressed my concern that customers could not reach the store by phone and suggested that they could call customers back when it was slower. He quickly dismissed that and said we don’t have time. I asked if I could speak to the Regional Manager (Jessica) and he said that I would not be able to. I asked if he could give her my contact information so she could call me and he said he would not do that. I explained that his corporate owners (Essilor Luxottica) would not be pleased with his handling of customer concerns. He said he doesn’t work for them. I then asked for and received a refund. He threw the glasses case into the trash. This was among the worst examples of customer service that I have ever witnessed or experienced. We went to Warby Parker, purchased two pairs of glasses and had fantastic customer service. The difference between the two businesses was night and day. I hope that this is isolated at LensCrafters and that Christian was perhaps just simply having a bad week. If you want a pleasant, friendly and fun experience go to Warby Parker. It’s a short walk from this LensCrafters. If you want a frustratingly rude experience LensCrafters Boulder will give you that.

I drove 1½ hours to the alderwood mall store because Lenscrafters advertise 2 day glasses. The exam was fine but when I tried to place the order they said it would be 8-10 working days. I appealed to the person in charge but he just gave me a cold stare. No explanation, apology or attempt to explain the false advertising. On top of that, another salesperson had pointed out the frames we could choose from for the $99 special. We choose some only to be told by the person in charge that they were not included on that deal. When asked which frames were, he brought out 2 very similar pink frames. Although he said they were available in other colors, when our salesperson looked that up they were sold out. I felt scammed by the advertising and left without glasses. Very poor service!

First time purchasing from LensCrafters and I’m extremely unimpressed. The customer service was outstanding, and my order arrived promptly. The quality of their product on the other hand is less than stellar. I ended up paying $1,200 for the lenses (not including the frame). I expected at that price the quality would very high end. I made the mistake of not getting the insurance, so when they got scratches on the lens they would not honer the warranty on the scratch protection and actively avoid me when I tried to get them repaired. "We can't do anything if you didn't get the insurance, even with your scratch protection warranty." If you do decided to pay for the overpriced product pay the $40 for the insurance as you will need it.

Been going to LensCrafters in East Hanover for literally years. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly to work with. Thank you all so very much! Robert Z

I’ve been going to lens crafters for years. Unfortunately they had me pay when I placed my eye glass order. I was told they wouldn’t use my insurance (EyeMed)I would have to file a claim on my own. They show you how much you would pay with my insurance and compared what I would pay with their discounts. Of course their discount is cheaper! When I called the insurance company they make it very difficult to do it on my own and they could deny the claim. Of course they would! They own the insurance company!!! They have a monopoly!!They also can charge more for your glasses! Information I found with ai. Next time I’ll order online!

This review is for the Biltmore Park location in NC. The customer service was fantastic. The person I worked with was very professional and very well versed in the products. She took her time and answered many questions.

I placed an order at this LensCrafters location on April 20, and it turned into a 57-day nightmare. I went to pick up my glasses on April 27, only for them to be completely incorrect and defective. It took another failed attempt and a second remake on May 4 before I finally received my glasses on June 16. Waiting nearly two months for a medical necessity due to lab errors is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I called to follow up on the extreme delays and inquire about a refund for the horrible experience, management retaliated. Instead of taking accountability for their mistakes, they officially cut off communication, refused a refund, and falsely accused me of "harassment" just for tracking my paid-for order. If you expect timely service, accurate prescriptions, or professional customer support, avoid this location at all costs. Once they have your money, they will ban you instead of fixing their own mistakes. I have already filled out the forms multiple times. I have also reported them to the BBB and Attorney General.
