Kohl’s is a good store,
But Kohl’s Card is not WORTH having it.
THEY USED TO CHARGE $ 15.00 for late FEE, NOW THEY ARE ROBBING customers. With $40.00 FEES.
THEY should considerate customer’s past payment history….
JUST MISSING A PAYMENT for ONE TIME, they charged $40.00.
That’s ridiculous.
All my friends has decided not hsvd their CARD or Shop there…
Their LATE FEE charges are shocking.

Kohl's is awful and moderates its negative reviews
Left a review on Kohl's website to caution others about the horrible quality of a product and the outrageous amount of money for return shipping it would have cost to send it back, only to receive a generic email saying they couldn't post my review, because it was moderated for some unknown reason. What's the point of leaving reviews if they're going to filter out the negative ones? Hate Kohl's. Btw, the product was the Sonoma Goods For Life Andorra Waffle Comforter Set. Horrible quality -- and it'll cost over $70 in shipping to return it. Needless to say, I'm out of over $100 for a horrible product I can't even send back.

Laughed out of $10 in returns
When returning a purchase, they deducted $10 from my original payment amount because of their Kohl’s Cash policy. When I returned everything I bought from them, they would not give me all of my money back, but instead gave me Kohl’s Cash, which EXPIRES in a month. $10 in my bank account never expires. You’re welcome for my $10 charity Kohl’s. On top of that, the Kohl’s employee laughed when I asked if I could get my money back on my credit card instead of in Kohl’s Cash. I won’t be shopping here again.

Kohls wasted my time and insulted by intelligence.
The only thing that went went well was my first and final purchase. When I checked out, I fell for it: a discount if I opened up a Kohl's credit account. Will I ever learn??? When I tried to make my first payment in the store, they couldn't / wouldn't tell me what my balance was. I never received a Kohl's credit card, so when I asked the clerk to provide my account number, she would not do it. SO I paid $50, even though I wanted to pay off the whole balance. I tried to register online, to pay with my debit card and their system said I could not register! I called the 1-800 number, and that system said that my info could not be processed. I am glad that the ratings on Trustpilot's review for Kohls are so low. Maybe people will get the hint and not do business with Kohl's. I hate bad customer service!

I am writing this because maybe just…
I am writing this because maybe just maybe some genius from higher up might see this and fix it , but probably not your store does not have a mens dressing room opened so you have to go to the ladies intimate area to try on a pair of overpriced Levi, and they don’t have the decency to shut the mens room door. Very dissatisfied with my visit will be shopping elsewhere. Needless to say if I am going to spend seventy dollars on pair of jeans I want to be able to try them on. Which I was not comfortable and able to do here. So no purchases made today.

I went into the store today with my… Boyfriend
I went into the store today with my boyfriend to exchange a pair of jeans for my mom. I went to the front register not remembering I needed to do returns in the back part of the store. After receiving terrible service at the from register I headed to the back to just exchange the jeans as I needed another pair that needed to be ordered online because they didn’t have the correct size in stores. Once arriving at the line in the back I waited a short time while 2 staff members were talking with each other at the counter. I explained to the individual working the return counter that I needed to do an even exchange and order a different size. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to do it on my phone and that she couldn’t order me the jeans. She told me I could just return them there because they are the same price online, however I also used a coupon so I wanted them price matched so if I were to get store credit, they wouldn’t be an even exchange. She then went on to tell me I had to repurchase another pair of jeans to be able to return the ones I currently have in the wrong size and there was pretty much nothing she can do because they apparently can’t order any of their inventory online through their store. All of this in an uncalled for rude fashion. I walked away saying okay thank you (obviously frustrated but she claimed she couldn’t help me). I work customer service and understand the things these customer service workers have to go through which was why I chose to not be rude in return. I then called my mom after leaving the store where she then called the store and spoke with the store manager named Kitty (which is not the same manager listed online). This manager decided to accuse me of screaming at the employees and her associates having to call the manager over because I was getting out of hand. Neither my boyfriend or myself said anything rude nor raised our voice in any way yet the manager had the audacity to defame my character and blatantly lie about the whole occurrence and situation that happened. No manager was ever seen and no yelling was ever done. She proceeded to explain that if my mom doesn’t like her style of management to take it up with corporate. She also said to take it up with the other “90,000 people that shop at their store”. I have never in my life in both my years in customer service, and being a customer myself been treated as such and had a store manager completely lie about a situation to hide the way their store treated me and their customers. I will never support the Kohls community nor shop there again. I am beyond disappointed.

Not worth the hassle
They implemented something a little more recent, where you can store all of your kohls cash and coupons in the app, bring up a barcode in store and pay. the thing is, nowhere does it state that if you have a kohls charge card, it will be charged to that. It's literally a scam to get people to unknowingly put charges on the store card. My card isn't even linked to my regular kohls account.
I previously paid off my card going on a year ago and it was such a bad experience, I never wanted to use it ever again. I was waiting for it to be closed due to inactivity but now, I'll have to wait another year.
The kohls website is fine and while it can be wonky and incorrect with reflecting inventory (claims an item isn't in store for pick up, go to said store and see several in stock. This is probably on the individual store, versus the entire company. Or it has other ship/pick up options available but won't allow check out as those are actually not available. It's very odd)
The major issue is their credit card. In the past, I wouldn't get emails confirming my payment and would have to go onto a computer, to their full website and click on at least three screens to see the payment was pending. Prior to figuring that out, I ended up doing double payments because they wouldn't email to confirm and it wasn't in plain sight to see pending payments. This go around, I fell into the scam I described above and wanted to just pay off the one transaction and be done.
Well, that was a nightmare. I had to change my password every single time I tried to log in because their system doesn't seem to store passwords. It would then claim my information was wrong when trying to reset my password. I would have to reenter my information an average of three times to reset my password that the next time I try to log in, will have to be reset anyway.
Their servers go down, come back up, go down again. It was glitchy due to first not claiming I had a payment method and I had to go through the awful of logging out, and logging back in. That finally reflected as normal. I made the payment and at first it didn't reflect on the site, but thankfully had gotten an email. More logging out and then back in. It's showing up properly now and thankfully I have about two weeks until my due date so I don't have to worry about crazy late fees.
I'll be checking my account several times a week to make sure all is well. And I'll keep checking until it cycles out.
I would cancel this card but I'm afraid of negative impacts to my score. I'd rather let it close on its own.
They also got rid of curbside pickup and require you to go into the store to get your items. They literally got rid of a rational, sensible system that makes life easier during a pandemic. No idea if they didn't feel like paying additional staff or thought it was too effective.
I am not a frequent kohls shopper due to all of this and their clothing quality has changed. They got rid of a lot of great brands and restructured to try to mimic a Macy's. It's odd and doesn't work.
If you're going to shop there, don't get the charge card, and go in person. Their shipping rate is insane and not worth it unless it can be shipped to the store.
