Amazon KDP sucks!
The hardest thing should be writing a book, turns out Amazon KDP have surpassed this in leaps and bounds with their terrible set up and process, to name a few:
1.) Amazon KDP do not do dust jacket options for books... Why? Having pressed the KDP team on this the best answer I got was "Thank you for your response, we highly value..." blah, blah, blah, "...and will always strive to improve our service..." blah.
2.) Not all files upload to their seemingly-sensitive system. Having taken the best part of an hour to upload my manuscript and then another hour requesting a preview all for it to say "error," it's a pretty ridiculous period of time to have to wait.
3.) If you're ordering a proof copy of your book to the UK, well forget it, even at the ordering page, Amazon instantly says that you cannot order proof copies from Amazon.co.uk, but instead have to use an alternative foreign marketplace, which was a nightmare to join. Plus, when you're instantly ready to order your copy it won't let you because apparently you have to wait 24 hours.
4.) If for whatever reason your order has not been processed, you'll find out at the last minute having waited for nearly 5 days, despite having an email confirmation from Amazon telling you that your order if scheduled and on its way, but secretly it has not even been declined in email form...just in the ether.
Overall such a trippy and terrible experience Amazon KDP. I shall not be looking to publish in the near with them at all, not until they commit (unlikely) to sorting out the faults in their ineptitude system. If you're trying to make a high-quality book with lots of content then forget about it, seems like Amazon only wants to cater to picture books for dunderheads that were made in Microsoft Word and not use any real modern formatting systems without seemingly bringing the whole damn company to a screeching Skynet halt. What should just be a simple uploading and request process is just monumentally more time-wasting, confusing and stressful than it needs to be. With self-publishing supposedly being a way of the future, after my experience, I can see why traditional publishing still reigns supreme.

Cutomer Service at KDP is not Knowledgeable
KDP amazon decided that my fonts were not embedded properly after the book had been out for months and there were hundreds of books printed. so they stopped production and asked me to fix the fonts. i sent the proof that the fonts are embedded and then they said it was a fonts permissions issue. They provided locations in the book where the fonts were a problem. None of these locations matched the fonts mentioned. I sent them information multiple times that all but two of the fonts were in public domain for books and asked for confirmation. no response, no response, no response - three emails over 4 days. They don't actually seem to be able to articulate what the problem is, meanwhile I have people writing me who want to buy the book. Very poor service.

KDP is a scam
KDP is a scam. I made some earnings and they closed my account on the last day of the month on vague BS that one of my book is against there policies, so that they don't have to pay any earnings.

I am so DONE with these people
After explaining and going over what I wanted to convey through my book design, this Company decided to add in the design everything they wanted paying absolutely no attention to what I ask. Furthermore they wrote the description for the Book design in a language which I have no idea of…UNBELIEVABLE!
They re just trying to get at the beginning as much money from clients as they possibly can. They are not trying at all to give a customer what they desire. The Client is not their interest. I cannot believe it! But I really should have known better!

Never ever turn to amazon kdp to…
Never ever turn to amazon kdp to publish a book they have left my account £790 in arrears by stealing money from me they lied to direct debit card disputes .
I paid them to publish my children's book they kept saying yes it will be published and kept delay by months publishing it so I demanded a refund.
They lied say they refunded but didn't, so I turned to direct debit card disputes at lloyds bank .. I got my money back through direct debit card disputes.
Amazon tryed to black mail me into close dispute I said no then all of a sudden amazon paid £790 in my bank so I phoned lloyds bank who said its OK give amazon kdp the money back as lloyds bank dispute team had paid me on amazon behalf so I said ok and sent the £790 back to amazon
Amazon have lied said the £790 wasn't sent back and it was for something else but whst something else explain? As I didn't owe amazon anything.
My first 2 books I published with amazon kdp months before I asked for 3rd book to be published they never published I made less than £30 in sales although I sold 18 books for £9.99 and kdp royalties e kindle sakes amazon i paid 2 thousand pound to publish books and they still kept the orofitsfrom my book sakes sending me a few pounds for each book sale.
My bank is now over drawn by £790 as amazon lied to debit card disputesso please think before you publish with amazon they are a bunch of snakes stealing and conning you out of money
Harry Wright and Zane his project manager are just money grabbing and conning innocent people
I'm still waiting for lloyds debit card resolution department to sort this out as I have children to feed and I cant afford to be £790 over drawn in my bank due to amazon kdp lies ... 8
I've e now turned to trading standards and journalist to expose amazon kdp as a bunch of con men and corrupt organisation.
