Life changing and helpful

Like with any medical facility, doctor’s office or mental health facility, challenges arise. What I have loved about joyous is whenever a challenge has arose, they were very attentive and responded, if not quickly, at least in a timely manner to have the challenge addressed and remedied. Thank you, joyous, for helping me find joy in my walk with my God, my family and friends and the people in this life.

Horrible company. Unprofessional and deceitful. They TELL you to communicate via text, but most everything there is automated and inaccurate. Within the text, they disregarded my concerns, moving back and forth between text and email. Using text, they send 'canned' announcements about my treatment when I DID NOT START because I wanted questions answered and clarified. Initially, they told me there "were NO side effects" and specifically that "driving was not an issue." Then the day BEFORE starting treatment, they said that I should not drive for several hours after treatment. They also told me twice that a nurse would call me. On Tueday 9/22, they stated a nurse would call between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm. There was no call and no message. Then they promised the same call from a nurse on the next day, Wednesday, 9/23. STILL no call and no attempted call. They would not refund money for two shipments of their product, which remain unopened and never taken.

I have battled with depression all my life. I’ve tried several different medications, therapies and treatments over the past few decades. While I still go to therapy, and take medication for other symptoms, I have found some relief from my depression since starting my treatment with Joyous. I really have enjoyed being able to feel more grateful and loving (which I’ve noticed after taking the daily troches). Anytime I have a question/issue I’m able to easily reach out via text and get the help I need. Whenever I’ve needed to schedule a video meeting with my provider I’m able to in an exceptional timely manner.

My depression has improved. I think the ketamine has really helped.

When I started this medicine, I had very modest expectations. First time I took it, it was very subtle. I started to feel a little better. I would take it while I journaled and process things from childhood. As time progressed, I noticed I was able to cry again and to feel love for my family again, things I had not felt in many years. As the months went on, it progressed to me being able to try on clothes without anxiety. I was able to get on planes, go to weddings, and talk to people without the dreaded social anxiety that plagued me my whole life. Overall, this medicine plus journaling and affirmations, had helped me so much in feeling better. I was already high functioning but every day felt hard for me. I knew how to handle my life but I didn’t know how to turn off the constant anxiety. This helped with that, and with the anxiety going away, the depression followed.

Joyus is a great program, and has great providers. While I have been a patient, I am also a KAP. I love the daily check ins for clients as well as support. The portal is also great for them to be able to connect with others, utilize resources, and build connection within community; knowing they’re not alone in their journey. I highly recommend to anyone seeking leas down time or an alternative to pricy infusions, or nasal spray that impact daily functioning and priorities etc.

Joyous has helped me in several ways, including reducing my automatic negative thoughts negative self talk negative judgments and I am more aware of positives. I am more relaxed and I’ve had a better sleep.
