The medication gave my mind pause
The medication gave my mind pause. It allowed me to experience rather than react to my PTSD, survival mode rabbit brain that works always send me into a downward spiral. It was like I could think in slow motion giving time and thought to every thought. Time to work through instead of react. The staff was always immediately responsive.

Impressive
Instead of wearing gray colored glasses, I used to feel like there was a gray wall behind my eyes. I could see the world as bright and beautiful but I couldn't experience it that way. I'm considered SSRI treatment resistant and was hesitant to try this. I am so glad I did. I feel better than I have in forever. If you are unsure, please give it a try.

Don’t do it!
Don’t do it! Once they get access to your FSA card it’s literally radio silence! I had some rough side effects starting my medication & was never once able to contact a live person! Tried everything! Email, text, daily surveys, nothing. Absolutely all communication was automated even when i text “emergency.” I had to request cancellation 3 times only through the automated system. Had to put a stop on my fsa card as well. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication. Joyous responded to my review on August 5th and has still not reached out or answered any emails or texts.

"No Soup for you!"
I tried Joyous for a few months and didn't experience a change. I asked them to stop the auto ship and program. I didn't receive any more product. I was not in a great state of mind and didn't see the "form" I had to fill out to stop the payments. Months later i noticed almost $700 dollars taken from my account. I did not receive any product for this money. I contacted them and asked them for a refund. They denied it because i failed to fill out the form. Now I am dealing with the loss of that money when I don't make much - that has caused more mental stress. Do they really care about your well being or just money?

AI driven. Poor quality. Avoid!
Started out good. Mostly messaging from an AI. No phone number to call. It takes days or weeks for a human to get back to you. Contradictory messages. Constantly changing dosage up and down. States that it is private, but then wants to loop in your personal doctor and force them to sign a release that allows them to treat you or they will cancel the medication that their doctor prescribed.

I’m a retired firefighter with 37 years…
I’m a retired firefighter with 37 years on the job that retired with complex PTSD. I’d hit rock bottom, was drinking too much and had attempted to end my life. I’d been getting counseling with limited benefit. I began taking Ketamine with Joyous and continued to get counseling. I noticed over time, with daily meditation that the heaviness began to lift and the nightmares lessened. My counselor said she noticed a marked improvement in my outlook. She said that I went from only seeing the bad to having an ability to see the good in life. I think that the three pronged approach of counseling, daily guided meditation and the ketamine were the magic formula.

I started using Joyous and for awhile the ketamine worked. But it stopped working for me and I decided to stop. They charged my cc in July, then never shipped the product as I had reported I still had some as I had stopped taking it. They refuse to refund my money for July as they say, I was still receiving “services” Exactly what services you might wonder? A weekly AI check in, a website which they never add content to, telehealth providers whose availability is never less than weeks out, and regular shipping delays where you will repeatedly run out of medication before the next batch arrives. Ketamine is a useful therapy. Just don’t use this company which will happily charge you for a product and never ship it.
