They only care about your money- not you
I am writing this under my son’s account because I do not have Gmail but my name is Deb and Joyous is one of the worst companies I have encountered in my lifetime. I wish I could give it zero stars. Shortly before Christmas I contacted the company and told them that I was a long term sufferer of anxiety depression and PTSD. I told them the various medications I have been on and the struggles Ihave encountered over the years. The Nutse Practitioner who did my zoom visit told me all about the program and that I would be a great candidate based on my history. She also told me that since I was a veteran I would only pay around $100/month- not the normal $129/month that everyone else pays. She asked me where I lived and I told her Florida but that I was moving to North Carolina. Her only response to this was “will you be moving in the next 2 weeks?” and I told her no. I moved from Florida to NC on January 6 and the ketamine had not arrived to Florida yet. Luckily my husband was still there and was able to overnight the medication to me. I started shortly thereafter and after a bit of a rough start I began to experience some relief. At one point during a “checkin” they asked me if my address had changed and I told them yes and entered my NC address. Nothing was said and the checking contained while they encouraged me to take my daily doses. Close to a month in I received a text stating I needed to schedule a follow-up with the provider. I got on the zoom call and she asked a few questions about the ketamine and then wanted to “verify” that I wasn’t going back and forth from NC to Florida. I confirmed with her again that I had moved as I told her I was going to prior to starting the medication and certainly wasn’t going “back and forth” 91/2 hours from here to there. At this point she disclosed to me that she does not have a license to prescribe ketamine in NC. She said she would “get with the team” and find out what we could do so “we could keep me in my medication.” She said I would receive a message from the team within a hour. I got a text message the next day that said “your provider has indicated you have moved to NC and we cannot prescribe to you there. How would you like to proceed with your subscription?” I was shocked. What did they expect me to say. Clearly if they cannot prescribe me the medication I do not want the subscription. What is most concerning as a Nurse Practitioner myself, I see no reason for the provider to initiate this prescription/subscription when they knew full well that I was moving to NC and would it be able to refill it. What kind of person does this except for financial gain? To date Joyous has charged me $129.00 twice for medication they cannot refill and they never gave me my veterans discount even though it clearly stated VETERAN on the drivers license I uploaded to their site. When I told them so wanted to cancel, they sent a link which prompted me yo fill out why I wanted to cancel which I did. They said they would send an email with further instructions which they never did and then 30 minutes later they sent a text telling me to take 45 mg tomorrow 🤨 I have no idea who is running this company but it is definitely not patient centered care. This medication may help but I would advise you to avoid using this organization at all costs. They have no idea what they are doing and even worse, I don’t think they care. I have requested a full refund and expect to get it.

Hi Deb, I want to personally thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're deeply sorry for the frustration you've encountered with our service. There were clearly several missteps in how we handled your situation, from the initial consultation to the veterans discount, and the confusing cancellation process. These lapses in communication and service don't reflect the standard of care we aim to provide. We understand how disappointing this must have been, especially after you began experiencing some relief with the treatment. We've looked into your case, and are doing everything we can to make this right. Thank you for your candid feedback, and if you have any questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out to our care team directly. ~Joyous Team
