I started having perimenopause symptoms in my mid-thirties. My ob/gyn and PCP told me I was too young. They even did blood work that "confirmed" everything was just fine. So I went through about 7-8 years of horrific, debilitating symptoms with nothing but medical gas lighting. It wasn't until my sister told me about Midi and some Instagram famous doctors that I finally started understanding what was happening to me. Nobody told me I might experience peri early because I had a tubal ligation when I was 24. Nobody told me that starting my period at 11 might mean I'd reach menopause early. Though, in fairness, nobody told me anything about peri at all. My doctors even told me it didn't matter that my mom reached menopause at age 42. My symptoms were already waning when I finally found help, but I'm grateful to have help through the last half of my life - I'm only 45 and plan to live to be a healthy 90 year old! And I believe I can, now that I finally have a team of specialists to help me feel my best.

My provider was so attentive and I finally felt heard after the last 4 years of my primary care, OB/GYN, and endocrinologist completely blowing off my perimenopause symptoms. I felt empowered after the call with a real plan of action to tackle my perimenopause symptoms and move forward with my weight loss goals.

Appointment was easy to schedule, even at 2am as I lay away with night sweats. Super quick availability for appointments, was able to schedule 3 days later. Nurse was awesome, showed up on zoom on time, was nice and considerate and understanding. And after 30 minutes she prescribed me HRT and my pharmacy had it ready 2 hrs later. Brilliant! Meanwhile my Primary Care doctor had referred me to an OBGYN who was booked out 3 months! No thank you. I'm not waiting to feel better.

Midi Health made the list of recommended peri/menopause providers from a GYN influencer on instagram but here's the kicker-Midi does not have a sponsorship deal with this particular doctor. To me, that spoke VOLUMES about Midi. My Midi nurse practitioner is professional yet personable. Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, and the entire 30 minutes are devoted to my care and concerns. She walked me through my options for treatment, giving me the information I needed to make the best decision for me. I was concerned that there might be a push towards one treatment or another but I have not found that to be the case at all. Unfortunately, Midi Health is NOT covered by my HMO; I have made the deliberate choice to pay for my visits out of pocket. I believe I made the best choice for me and am grateful to have access to incredible, personalized care from Midi.

After years of my OB telling me that I'm wrong about what I'm feeling, I took a risk and was able to make a SAME DAY appointment. Dr Hanna was on time, very kind and patient, and invested in me. She took EVERYTHING I told her into consideration, she didn't judge me, and she worked with me to build a treatment plan that worked for both my wants AND needs. She checked insurance every step of the way and was so informative, even giving me sources to look at if I was curious. Her after visit report was amazingly detailed after just one meeting and the RXs were sent and filled no problem, same day. I literally almost cried on the phone because of the level of attention and care she showed. It was so worth it. She has me going to LabCorp for blood work, no cervical biopsy required.
