I am only giving 1 star because I liked the nurse practitioner I had. If your HRT prescriptions are hard to find… good luck! You’re on your own. It took over two weeks to find a place that had it to get my prescription transferred. They are really good at throwing the generic responses to you via email, can’t reach anyone via phone. Emails only. I asked for help for two weeks and super detailed responses about how they are there to help. They are NOT there to help. They are good at copying and pasting, that is it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

Nearly $500 for a Simple Prescription Refill: Unnecessary Appointments and Poor Patient Care
I have never left a negative review, but my experience with MIDI was extremely disappointing.
I chose MIDI specifically because it advertised affordable, in-network care. As an established HRT patient, I was not seeking a new diagnosis, treatment plan, or consultation. I simply needed a refill of a prescription that had already been prescribed and successfully managed by my previous physician.
Instead of a straightforward refill process, I was required to attend multiple telehealth appointments, including an additional 30-minute visit that I found unnecessary and provided little to no value. During my initial appointment, I clearly explained that I was already on HRT and only needed continuation of my existing treatment. Despite this, I was required to schedule another appointment to discuss information that had already been reviewed with me by my previous provider.
The most frustrating part was the cost. I ended up paying nearly $500 out of pocket for brief virtual appointments, and I have insurance MIDI accepts! I have never paid anywhere close to this amount with other healthcare providers, including longer in-person visits with physicians. With virtually every other provider I've used, there is transparency regarding copays, expected costs, and whether additional appointments are optional or recommended. That was not my experience here.
When I raised concerns about the charges, the response from support was dismissive and focused solely on stating that the costs were my responsibility after insurance processed the claims. My concerns about cost transparency, the necessity of the additional appointment, and the lack of value provided were never meaningfully addressed. Despite requesting a phone conversation multiple times, I was unable to speak directly with someone to discuss my situation.
The combination of inflated costs, unnecessary appointments, poor communication, and a lack of meaningful customer support made this one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I have had. Based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend MIDI to anyone looking for HRT care.

Deffo won’t save you time or money
I just went for 1/2 of the labs my provider ordered.
A general order in the system with no specifics. I called and after I finally got a human they resent the order.
Waited longer in the waiting room, finally went back to the room, and the order is a duplicate. The customer experience agent I spoke to was not at fault, he resent as asked.
But how can a provider write an order and not specify what it’s for??! Extremely unprofessional, I have zero faith in the order for my imaging and that it will be able to be actioned as is.
I used this service for convenience and have wasted 4 hours today with no tests done, not to mention $40 out of pocket for my uber to the facility, 3 hours unpaid time off work and I paid a $93 co pay.
Save your time and money!!!!

Terrible experience and Waste of Time
Terrible experience. My primary physician recommended this site, but after this experience, I’ll be letting Texas Health Resources know how poorly it went. This isn't a service they should be recommending to their patients.
I booked online and spent time entering my insurance and medical information. I planned to use my staycation to complete the appointment. The first appointment was canceled because I didn’t confirm it within five hours of receiving a text. I noticed the cancellation the next day, so I booked another appointment and waited several days.
I called in early for the second appointment and completed the paperwork. Then I sat in the video call for 45 minutes before receiving a message that the provider was having technical issues and my appointment was canceled. I was told someone would contact me to reschedule.
When I called customer service, the earliest available appointment was the following week, which defeated the purpose of scheduling it during my time off. When I explained that, the agent hung up without saying goodbye. I was frustrated and ended up calling a doctor I’d seen before instead.
The process was inconsistent: my first appointment required confirmation within five hours, but the second one didn’t, despite being scheduled several days out. Between the cancellations, technical problems, and poor customer service, I couldn’t plan around the visit. I’ve used telehealth before and never had an experience like this. It was a complete waste of my time, and I would not recommend this site.
Gen. X women, you'll be feeling like they should have paid you for your time.

Be aware
Be aware: Midi can bill for a consultation even when they ultimately determine they cannot treat you. In my case, they billed $250, leaving me with a $100 balance after insurance, with no treatment prescribed.
I spent a good amount of time explaining my symptoms and medical history to a clinician who seemed engaged and interested in helping. Several days later, I received a message saying my case was too complex for them to manage and directing me back to my in-person gynecologist.
I found that explanation frustrating and unhelpful. If my needs were outside the scope of their services, I would have appreciated knowing that before completing a paid consultation.
I disputed the charge, but Midi declined to remove it. Ultimately, I was billed for explaining my situation and being told to seek care elsewhere. Before booking, ask what you and your insurance will be charged if they determine they cannot offer you treatment.

Hidden costs and misleading offers that…
Hidden costs and misleading offers that this service is covered and in services with my insurance plan. Months later they charged me $250 for a very short Telehealth visit! I believe this is a deliberate attempt to make an apt with them. Higher than a regular Dr visit. STAY AWAY

Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague! They assigned me a Clinician, with zero personality, communication skills or empathy, then charged my insurance company for a "mental health" assessment on top of the cost for the virtual visit. The "mental health" assessment was not mentioned in any of their fees. Also, the Clinician assigned wasn't even credentialed to prescribe BHRT. Convenience does not equal quality!

My insurance info was on the list MIDI …
My insurance info was on the list MIDI of qualified insurance but apparently they don’t take it which I would have only paid out of pocket for my co pay had I been informed of this information. I’m loved my provider but the company itself needs to be much more transparent if they say they take your insurance double and triple check.
