JEGS PerformanceReviews of jegs.com

These people claim to back up their parts but they do not! If you're restoring an old muscle car, do not buy from these people if you're not installing immediately! Especially any of their trim pieces! IT'S ALL JUNK! They know it but will not stand behind it!

At first my experience with jegs performance was fast and the customer support was great! Then I got my order... I recently started the rebuild of my 350 sbc, and as my first motor rebuild i trusted jegs performance for professional help and relied heavily on the technicians advise. As I did my own research I realized the technician had told me completely wrong. I was even able to go back onto the website and see the specifications for the piston heads I ordered was completely different than what I was told. So then I opened the box when it arrived and thats where my blood pressure rose abruptly. Sitting in the crushed and mangled box was none other than a half eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich. So thank you jegs performance for your leftover lunch! After I realized the piston heads I had ordered over the phone were not the right ones I called customer service to attempt to return the package. Instead a rude tech called me an idiot for not reading the specifications before I bought the parts (pretty sure it was the same guy who told me the wrong specs in the first place). Also in the same box as the stale sandwich was the cam bearing i bought and planned to install myself. One cam bearing went in and then another, but the third bearing would not seat in the block. I busted out the trusty caliper and measured across the bearing to find that the bearing was in fact NOT round. In a fit of rage i emailed jegs with a picture of the bearing and caliper and luckily rhey sent a new set of bearings as replacements. I have not yet unstalled these new bearings but so god help me if they are also not round we are going to have issues. So moral of the story: don't waste your time with this company and do your own research before digging into an expensive project.

BEWARE! Jegs is no longer Jegs! It has been bought out by Greenbrier Equity Group. They evidently use this CEVA Logistics for their shipping. Google states that Jegs is still based out of Ohio for customer care and operations. I bought it through Amazon even though it did say Jegs on Amazon. When we ordered a truck hood, we have sat here for over a week and when we called to get an update today on the shipment, Amazon shows it will be delivered today still, but since 'Jegs' uses an outside logistics company called Ceva, we called them and they said yes we have it sitting here but we dont come out to your area very often so you will have to wait another week to get it. THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM! that is what we pay for as extra shipping charges and a PRIME account! and it should be shipped timely. We are NOT a happy customer! And they dont have anything smaller than a semi. We told them you will have to trim trees to get that hood to our door. We live in the country! Or you will have to carry it to our front door! Not a good company for logistics either! Very unhappy! Ceva's motto is if it does not fit their agenda, the customer has to wait! this is their job! they are a delivery company! This is who the NEW JEGS is now. Ceva is their company they hired!

Horrible customer service ordered 2 parts from them. That were not the right parts they were supposed to be for a sbc Called to get a return and see if they could upgrade me to the one that they were supposed to send me which they had notes talking to me about 1 the parts but they claimed i wanted cheaper one instead of the right said that all they could do was give me a discount which I never got. Then I went to return one of them because it was completely the wrong part. It was for a Ford and not an sbc, And now they're claiming that I installed the part and destroyed it so they will not return my money no, call about it, just sent me back. The park a month and a half later And if I could have installed it, I would have been racing 2 months ago, not having to wait for one to come from quartermaster. They just steal your money and send you bad parts. And then when you try to return them, they ship them back and tell you that you try to install it and then they keep your money and then you're stuck with a part that you can't do anything with this part is so specific that I don't even know if I can resell it. To anybody So I just have an ornament hanging on my wall. So just a paperweight from jegs, for a $100. Do not buy parts for them. Summit is so much better. Or just buy directly from the manufacturer. In my case, I need the flange to work with my flex plate and my reverse starter, and they were so knowledgeable and understanding they even went out to the shop and made sure that it all fit together and was the right part don't know why I just didn't call them directly. I figured I could trust jegs, but apparently not. I wouldn't even put a part on my car if they gave it to me for free. They are just a drop ship company , so just go to the direct manufacturer or summit racing never had problems with them

I ordered a beautiful stainless steel tool cabinet that was the best tool cabinet on the market. During the freight shipment the beautiful stainless steel received a very small dent. I sent them a picture of the dent and within the day they advised me that they were sending me a refund of about 25% of the purchase price. This was a very generous adjustment in the price. Fantastic customer service and I wouldn't hesitate ordering from JEGS.

I ordered a timing kit for my Camaro, missing 2 cam gears and one transfer gear locked up out of box. They said overnight on replacement parts did not come then special Saturday delivery, parts did not come. Its wed., still not here. Never again. Find your parts and order direct from manufacturer, Not from third party.

I ordered a part that was explicitly listed as "In Stock" on the JEGS website. Immediately after they took my payment, I received an email stating the item was actually on backorder for 2 months (until mid-July). This is blatant false advertising and misrepresentation of inventory. I immediately requested a cancellation. Instead of issuing a refund, their customer service (Rachel and Melanie) gave me the runaround for days, claiming they couldn't refund my money until their "third-party vendor" confirmed the cancellation. JEGS acts as a drop-shipper, sells items they do not have, and then holds your funds hostage to cover their own logistical failures. They refused to help until I finally opened a formal dispute with PayPal. Only when PayPal intervened did I get my money back. JEGS has zero respect for their customers' time and project timelines. If you value your money and need real parts, buy from Summit Racing or other reputable companies instead.

Opened a parts box from JEGS beyond the 90 day return period to find that they had sent me the wrong part because they had labeled the part incorrectly. I was sure they'd recognize that it was their mistake and that they would not want the customer to be penalized for their mistake but not so. Offering to sell me a replacement part with free shipping was a "courtesy" they said. They lost a customer; AMES PERFORMANCE--here I come.
