I thought Jackson Hewitt was going to be a decent and affordable tax prep service at Walmart, after all don't they advertise 25 dollar basic fee? So after making the appointment and submitting our paperwork I was given a date to get them after they were done, my wife and I are retired with little income together and we were charged 250 dollars to get them done, they even charge for a measly etf fund I contribute to that only earned 1.31 interest as part of the cost yes we will get 300 dollars back but due to the large fee it's not much to float about, I don't recommend this company, they even made us wait to pick up our taxes until a guy refused to let us finish while the preparer filed his first, very rude won't do it again!

Jackson Hewitt advertised on their website 59.00- no more than 179.00 for federal return at Walmart stores. which we were charged 179.00 last year. this year they charged us 448.00 after Leading us to believe we were paying 179.00 we were not provided with a itemized page of fees nor were we provided with our copy of the federal income tax forum with the amount of our return on it. when I call their offices all I get is the run around, no managers available to help me at all! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPNAY AGAIN AND I SUGGEST NO ONE ELSE SHOULD EITHER! Also the person who did our taxes put my DLN in wrong for state return Now that has been delayed, we only got back 246.00 from federal after fees! I'm afraid to see what we will have on our state after fees I talked to our tax preparer and she did not even apologize.

Made an appointment at Walmart supercenter. Person sends text that someone will be with me shortly. 40 minutes later I'm still standing there. No one ever showed up. How unprofessional. I'm sick I wouldn't have gone out if I new I was going to be blown off.
