Customer service is a joke. No one can give any information other than to read a script and say “well you can file it on your taxes.” That’s a given but the whole point of the child tax credit was to help us and give it to us now. To be pending for two months, finally receive something in September but now back to pending in October makes no sense. Nothing has changed. People need this money. I need it now. The pandemic shut everything down and bills can’t be paid if we can’t work. A joke! The absolute worst!

Absolutely THE WORST phone customer service I've ever dealt with. Wait times of 2-3 hours just to get through to a live person and then they tell me they can't verify my identity, so I need to try calling again. Who has time to do that? The phone associates seem like they read a script and could care less about you as a person and your problem. I've had better experiences with Walmart and Visa. I called the IRS 3 times and finally just scheduled an appointment with an IRS office 2 hours away. How is the government using our money to pay for this low-quality service??? They need a significant re-tooling and CS audit.

I would like to file a complaint a complaint on employee number: 1003265334. A “Ms. Chao” Representative was extremely rude after a two hour wait. Why are all reps from the IRS rude to us? They have this sense of entitlement and she hung up on me. Terrible customer service.

I have not once this year was able to get into my account, I seriously believe my account was compromised and IRS does not want to tell me. I have tried and try and try to contact them and get help I was unsuccessful What do I have to do to get into my account??

You lie to callers you move tax info person to person after you start amended return by IRS rules and reg when a worker starts a tax return or amended returns one person will work till Finnish per law. But the worker will move file to another worker that restarts the pandemic 20 week process defrauding the tax payer and that's why it takes so long not just my thoughts its my experience IRS violate Irs laws and regulations and tax payers rights i see it is a not so good review well don't care the Demicraps are the bad reviews so don't matter or are government workers giving reviews lol

I filed my taxes back in April 2021 it is now mid September 2021 (5months) and I’m still waiting on my tax return. Nobody at any IRS office is ever able to every provide me with any information regarding when I will receive my return along with the customer service number. I’ve provided all necessary documents and still nothing.

I FREAKING hate the IRS they are not helpful at all just a whole bunch of transferring so that don’t have to help you with your questions or concerns. If you ask me there should be no IRS , your not helping anyone with anything just giving them the run around . Everyone working at those centers should be fired there policies suck! I’m super Pissed off on hold with them now currently.

The IRS should be shut down. We are entitled to Fair Tax Administration, paying only what we owe. The lack of oversight and service, the abuse of power has been in play for a decade. Millions of taxpayers nationwide are being preyed on and destroyed, bullied to pay more than they owe, processes delayed, refunds not issued. It's a culture that bullies and abuses taxpayers and one that creates red tape to block resolve, hide and foster all they do. It's time we shut them down and moved tax administration to ethical CPAs that don't act like a predatory for profit company. It's time. This nation reflects our government and the IRS is part of why we are broken as a nation. We the people deserve better. The IRS needs to be shut down now.
