I own both an Inogen 2 and Inogen 3
I own both an Inogen 2 and Inogen 3. They both have worked well and each has its good and not-so-good points: The Inogen 2 is slightly lighter than and oxygen tank (size C), but is more ergonomic in that you can adjust the shoulder strap so that the Inogen 2 sits in the small of your back. It does, however, pull on your shoulder. With its large battery set on 2, it will last 6 to 8 hours. The newer Inogen 3 is MUCH lighter and easier to carry, but with its larger battery it only lasts 3 to 4 hours. You can overcome this problem by plugging it in to your car every time you're out running errands. It has lasted for a total of about five hours through a movie, lunch, and grocery shopping with charges in the car between stops. I have never had a problem with the Inogen company, purchasing and maintaining the Inogen 2 or purchasing the Inogen 3. When it was time to replace the oxygen cylinders in the Inogen 2, I received a notice on the machine window. I called and ordered the replacements which came very quickly and I replaced them easily with the (pictures) instructions. I'm sure I will be a customer for life.
