This is what I expected and is very good. Probably the best decision I could have made. I have had COPD for almost 15 years now. I can't go anywhere without Inogen. I operate myself with 35% lung capacity which means I really can't even function above 5000 feet sea-level. I can with Inogen at setting 3. I have to use setting 4 at 6000 feet, but it isn't always good and I can't walk more than 50 feet. My next step is going to be to purchase an wheel chair. I use my Inogen with those electric carts that are found at grocery store. Then, I use a setting of 3. I highly recommend Inogen. It is the only way to survive with my current stage.

I fortunately only require my Inogens only when I exercise/exert myself or when I'm at high altitudes. I've been extremely happy with them. I have both the G4 and G5. The G4 is sufficient for most of my needs - especially when I carry a spare (large) battery and its light weight makes it very comfortable. I wear it with the very handy back pack. I do get beyond its capacity with strenuous exercise; at which time, I need the G5's capacity. Something I hadn't anticipated was how necessary O2 would be at high altitude. The G4 was my savior when I visited Yellowstone, Banff, and Jasper National Parks last summer. My only wish is that the G4 had longer battery life, but I guess I'll accept that for its light weight.

The G4 Weighs more than they say after putting in battery, it makes more noise than my big unit at home. The battery does not last as long as they say. Depending on what setting you put the unit on the battery lasts different times!

The system is reliable and easy to use. The portable could be a little smaller and lighter if possible. Otherwise very satisfied with the system I have.

I got back the freedom I lost. Having not to pull carts of oxygen tanks, I regained the freedom I had before my problem with breathing arose. I can grab my Inogen get in the car go shopping . out to restaurants,and vacations even by plane. Great Rich

I find that my unit doesn't last nearly as long as advertised...one battery lasts between 2 and 3 hours. Also the unit gets very hot. In order for me to feel safe using it I need to feel confident that 2 batteries will last for 8 hours and the spare battery cannot be left in a parked car because it gets too hot I currently am using a home-filled Invercare system Which weighs almost the same as invacare and the spare bottle can be left in the car. With the size of batteries today that operate my iphone and apple watch, I should think that somethin comparable might be available for your machine.
